You are spot on about George’s tire management. This has been an issue in several races where he’s been in the contention for the lead. From what I’ve heard, his style of braking and turning can lend itself to quick lap times but is also hard on the tires.

I tend to keep half an eye on quali and when I saw the times from Q1 and Q2, I thought something special might be on the cards - tuned into Q3 and P2! Still, Max in 4th and Norris has been fast, and I was out on Sunday, so I didn't plan to watch the full race. I wandered into a nearby bar for the first couple of laps, then heard rain was incoming and Lewis was still 2nd, so the rest of the day was spent glued to a stream on my phone during a show and some shopping. Saw the final laps in Next. Gutted I wasn't sat watching with fans or my dad but I'd be on the moon if it meant he won this race 🙏🏿

Let's not blow this out of proportion. I was happy Lewis finally got a Victory on his home turf. But he had multiple chances to win in the last two years. So the shark smelling blood and so on is overselling it. Max would and routinely won when he had a chance. Ferrari fan here. So I don't have a particular allegiance towards either. I just know we'll never win a championship anytime soon.
