Quick Stops on the Civil War Trail in Northern Virginia

On the outbound leg of our first big camping trip of the 2024 season we pass through Northern Virginia and make a couple of short stops at out of the way Civil War sites of great importance: the opening fight of the Battle of the Wilderness in 1864 and the site of "Stonewall" Jackson's death a year earlier.
