Want more reviews of things in the Pathfinder 2e game system? I can do that. I'm liking this new short format thing where I make a video on one short topic. It lets me get something out to you guys without me spending 12+ hours video editing. Really prevents burnout.

"You've never heard of" Our Catfolk Rogue wishes I never heard of it. Because my Iruxi Ranger (with druid dedication) uses it all the time on him!

Reminds me of my Gnome who had Healing Plaster (lets you do medicine checks without a medicine kit by subbing in mud). “I’m hurt” “I’ve got mud!” “Nope, I’m good!”

Yeah, good spell. I couldn't convince my player to take, but then again he took his Cleric dedication late into the campaign and mainly used it for buffing.

Hilarious timing, literally today I was in pathbuilder creating an azata nephilim cosmos oracle for a new game im joining next week. I'm typically a forevergm, so I never noticed this spell before. Can't wait to use it. :-)

We used it in our recent session! Temporary heath for sorcerer close to enemies and having persistent acid damage.

I offered a pc druid a special opportunity to pick either this cantrip or a (range buffed) spout, and learn the chosen option as an innate spell. I thought they would take this one because its so cool and useful, but being a beginner party and gm he was too into the idea of a damaging ability. I want to see more videos like this! Thanks

I'm playing an air/water/wood kineticist, and you can bet I was trying to find low-level water spells that are worth a darn. Rousing Splash is something I want when I get Kinetic Activation. XD

Neat. This definitely fills a niche I hadn't found a good fit for. Speaking of golems, this would also slow an Ice Golem.

Fossil Golem has been remastered as Paleohemoth. "Golem weakness" is gone and now they simply have a weakness 10 to cold, earth, and water and resistances physical 10 and spells 10 (except cold, earth, or water). So, this spell still works against them triggering 10 damage for the weakness.

Actually now I am questioning that weakness thing.. Doesn't it require 1 damage minimum to trigger and this spell would technically be giving them temporary hit points, not damage? Hmm, interesting scenario.

I think that’s right. Searing restoration (a healing ability with the fire trait), doesn’t hurt poppets as it heals them I don’t think.

For removing fire/acid it is even better as a cantrip deck (5-pack). Does not take a cantrip slot and is usable by anyone.

What a neat cantrip... Probably good for first level so you can survive critical hits.

I'm playing a Warpriest archetyped into Champion, focused entirely on support. This spell looks like a really nice addition to the toolkit.

Wait, so it lasts a minute for 60 feet and gives Rank d4 temp HP, so could you repeat it on the whole temp HP whenever exploring at a leisurely speed? Like at level 7 giving the whole party +4d4 temp HP is tempting. Or should it lean closer to 14 to 16 temp HP since average rolls will likely be covered by higher rolls?
@PsiPrimeProductions1

Well, it is a round per cast, so if you cast it on the whole party and then spend a round kicking down the door, that’s only 5 rounds remaining. . .

Oh, and 4d4 has an average of 10, not 15. That would take 6d4.

That is a nice spell. Shame it is buried in an expansion book making it harder to use for Pathfinder Society

I think it is usable in PFS just fine? Doesn’t have the uncommon tag. I know there used to be a rule about spells from expansion books but I don’t think that’s the case anymore? The rule was weird and hard to understand anyway.

@@PsiPrimeProductions1you need to own the book in order to use options from it. That's the only thing that makes it harder to use in PFS.
