Rolex collectors: Wow an imperfection, so rare, I’ll pay extra! Ming collectors: Wow an imperfection, I want my money back and you better make it happen nicely…

Well said Adam. A friend of mine just bought a brand new Pepsi and the lume on the dial was just as bad if not worse. Totally agree with your take on this, some people take the knit picking a little too far when the issues can be fixed at the end of the day.

Sorry I'm late to the party on this one but I just found you after seeing you with Federico a couple of weeks ago. Like your videos. And you've peaked my interest in vintage watches mostly a new watch guy. 2 words for those people, " whiny bitches". Sorry to say. Keep up the good videos Adam.

Just found this video. For westerners keep in mind all of Asia has a very different culture and “laws” around disparagement. Negative IG posts is the Asia equivalent of putting a billboard in Times Square.

If the watches have a problem and they try to fix it. Fine, you cant ask more. I would really like you to adress all those fake blueberrie inserts instead. That's vintage stuff :)

Dude.. Ming Thien called the customer who posted the misaligned hand 17.09 as "Crying Wolf". Is that acceptable for a watch brand ceo to call their customers that, when they send out defective watches?

Like I said, they need hire a PR firm, and I think some of their responses where not handled well, and could have been done better.

Sounds like everyone was a little over the top. I agree it’s their company and they can do what they want but from an optics standpoint, blacklisting a client is a little harsh, depending on what was actually stated of course. But blacklisting simply because he posted publicly is just not a good look counsel. Btw love the tunograph, can you do a 5 min review/explanation of it and the history?

The customer isn't always right. You can't let one problem customer own your time. Refund them, fire them as a customer and move on with full focus on not problem customers.

Ming should of replaced the hand if he wanted them to or a full refund. The customer should of never written a negative until it was resolved.
@AFG514123 жыл бұрын
I also thought that would have been a simple solution, but apparently they wrote in their reply to him that this is an issue that couldn’t be resolved period, based on…I dunno, science. They had an explanation but it was too science-y for me LOL.

@@AFG51412 crazy, Adam just like you said luxury items are usually hand made and there will always be something that bothers an OCD person. I always find something wrong on almost everything but something like that I can live with, a ding on a new AP RO or Patek I couldn’t. They say if you get a brand new Ferrari and it’s perfect the transporter will always fix that, lol. Nothing in life is perfect,Jeff.

i am a chinese singaporean from Singapore . ming watches are overhyped and overpriced.... the design is nothing really that spectacular or unique. probably they just managed to get enough watch circle personalities to speak for them in earlier years. selling their uniqueness of them being a largely ethnic chinese malaysia-singapore based brand.

Dirty laundry on social media generation. Some do it to shame, others to get free offers. I prefer the deal with it one on one approach.

Sounds like a pain in the a$$ customer. I did hear that the ming hour hand issue on the 17.09 was a bit more serious than being slightly off and that it continued to get more out of sync the longer it ran. I'd say that's an issue that should have been discovered before delivery, and wouldn't fly on a cheap Timex. That being said, I'm not one of those guys that needs everything to line up perfectly but I, like you, am a vintage guy.
