Nice! I've been thinking of getting a workbee and an upgrade kit to either Killerbee or Queenbee. What upgrades have you done?

Quite a lot actually. Thicker plates, steel X gantry instead of CBeam one, linear rails, now the spindle upgrade, going to upgrade all axes to ballscrews and servos, etc. Not much left from the original workbee. If you watch some of the other videos you can see the whole machine there. I started upgrading before Killer or Queenbee were available. If you want to get one of the Workbee versions then I'd suggest going straight for the Killerbee or Queenbee (ideally the original one from CNC3D in Australia). Both are much more rigid than the original and well worth it in case you want to machine aluminum and not just wood. There's a really good group on FB called Workbee CNC Users Group if you need help with almost anything which concerns a Workbee type CNC.

@@crabsshed I was leaning toward the killerbee since they use steel plates. But the lead time is about 8 weeks. So I was going to build the workbee, order the killerbee upgrade kit, and then get about 3-4 weeks of cutting in before upgrading with the kit when it arrives.

Not sure it's the best idea as with the upgrade kit you'll have to basically fully disassemble the workbee so that you can install the upgrade kit. Also the total cost will most likely be higher. Where do you want to get the stock workbee from? Ooznest? I belive they also have some lead time so not sure how much time you'd save.

Hi, it is just a cheap nozzle from Aliexpres. Search for CNC mister or something like that and it will give you many options.
