I've been painting for over twenty years but I still get a lot from your vids - cheers for all the time you put into these, they're really great.

I'm a very new painter, but sometimes it helps me to hold the mini upside down if that means gravity will assist in pulling the paint into the crevices.

I know this may be a lot of work, but could you make a video where you paint a model, where you use as many different different tecniques as possible, from start to finish in realtime (possible with some speedup when waiting for paint to dry). I know this video would be long, but i would be interesting and i believe helpful for beginners.

Nice tutorial. What I am most interested in is the way that the red cloak was painted. Would you be able to do a quick tip on painting cloaks in that way? If you have done a tutorial on how to paint the cloak in that way, which dvd have you done it on?

I would love to see a video on how you would approach shiney black, vinyl leather. Or, if it's possible to give that shiney vinyl appearance to other colors.
@Cablur7 жыл бұрын
You say at around 8:20 to draw the paint from the place where you want the darkest area towards the lightest area. Probably it's my own misunderstanding but when I start painting at the darkest spot my brush is loaded with the highest amount of paint and when it arrives at the lightest point there is much less paint in it. So the darkest area gets more white paint so it is lighter. Hope you get what I mean :)

This was my first video I watched by you guys and it was informative and very helpful. As someone going with a red/white scheme for my Khador army I really am struggling with whites. I tried warm white and I did not like it. Now I am going to try the "cool" white with the icy effect. Thanks for the great tips. What is a great way to layer reds without getting that orange effect. I have started mixing my reds with browns and I am liking what I see. Awesome Videos

Theres two ways you can do powerswords in my eyes. You can do a wet blend witch he has up or, you can thin a paint down near to where it has no pigment once you have done that base cote the sword and take your thinned paint and keep running it over the base until you like the color (it takes a while)

So white undercoat; white base coat; recess-shade with a light blue; thin down the base white and re-apply- right? I think just a straight re-application of the white would be better, just avoid re-applying it to the recessed areas.

Where do you find or what are the keywords for searching for the music style that is used in this video? Id like something mystical like some music from Lord of the Rings playing in the background while I paint sometimes instead of Led zeppy or Dio.

Do you have anything in the vault or here to help color blind people? My painting is not the worst but I tend to avoid other non-GW games cause those games aren't so grim-dark. Its just too easy for me to paint Black Templars with black, white and boltgun metal calling it table top ready.

My White Scar is very cloggy and I can't fix it, anyone know what I have to do?
@trialbystone25329 жыл бұрын
There's no way to fix that, that's just how that paint is. So for things like white scars (the space marine chapter), i reccomend using thinned down ceramite white.
@Max-ou4zg9 жыл бұрын
+LennyPerson Yeah I made a mistake with the paint names the one I have that is cloggy was ceramite white not white scar my mistake :P
@Max-ou4zg9 жыл бұрын
+Aurelius Vulcan And I think it is a drybrush color, because I bought a new ceramite white and it was as cloggy as my old one after that I bought white scar that one was good and thinned ^^
@trialbystone25329 жыл бұрын
Aurelius Vulcan no, it's not a dry paint. it's supposed to work like any other base paint.
@Max-ou4zg9 жыл бұрын
Oh well idk then why it is so cloggy I couldn't paint with it so I bought white scar afterwards
