Can you use turpentine?

Great video. I always assumed epoxy went under the poly for UV protection (?) Do you like these results better?

Did I understand correctly - that with the wipe-on, you don't sand after the first coat - and only after the second and subsequent ones? I would assume to not sand after the first one, you would need to do the second coat within a specified period (how long?). THANKS!

You can sand after the first coat but very lightly if any. My point was that if you sand too much after the first coat, you risk taking off too much and can discolor the underlying stain. Plus after the first coat, there's not much finish on the wood anyway and you can probably just skip the sanding until the 3rd coat.

Sounds like good advice - perhaps a feather touch with one pass after the first coat - or just wait until after the second one to sand. Enjoy the channel and thanks for being a positive light out there!

The last couple things I made, I used a brown paper bag in between coats instead of sand paper (unless there were big bumps). It's a lot less abrasive and it seemed to have worked out pretty nicely!
