Imagine being able to get a house in real life for the low low price of disarming a nuke.

If you don't have 25 explosives when you try to disarm the nuke it will explode because you accidentally trip an anti-tamper device

I always disable the nuke everytime I restart fallout 3, mostly for caravans come and sell everything I don't want if the general store is closed and the doctor doesn't have any caps to him

Idk man. Megaton is hard enough to find even in late game. Should be able to find it after the story and hopefully have good enough directional senses to find it.

Megaton House was my main house because its technically in the "middle" of the map. Plus its perfect to do the Survival Guide

may not be as fast but you can agree to disarm, go to burke, tell him you're down to blow it up but Simms paid you. go snitch burke out. Simms will go in to arrest burke. simms dies you then kill burke. you get a silenced 10mm, a chinese assault rifle, some ammo, his duster and hat and then you can disarm. then find his son and hell give you the house key. great way to arm your early game lone wanderer.

or...? you can collect the money from blowing the nuke up to move to vault 87 and start your new life with Fawkes. :D

Another speed run could be blow up the nuke for Mr. Burke and get a cool ass room at Tenpenny tower.

That house is always so much better and bigger than that small penthouse at Tenpenny Tower they give you if you actually blow Megaton up. Plus, of course, it's good karma. You save an entire town from it. This instalment rewards you so much for Good Karma than New Vegas ever did. Nostalgia.
