I'm glad the tips are helpful! I'm with you - it's nearly impossible to get it completely clean and requires some fancy twisting and stretching to reach the corners!

I have a small parakeet and wondered if I could use sal suds with the soap I used for his grate. I know, I would have to rinse really well, but wondered if it would clean the grate easier, since that is where his droppings fall onto. It gets really icky at times. Appreciate the "Going Green" videos. I love them.

Hi Jeni- We hear from customer who won birds that tell us our products are safe and effective cleaners for enclosures. Because Sal Suds is more concentrated than conventional cleaners, you'll need just a small amount. It also rinses exceedingly clean.

Hi there- Both the Lite cleaner I mention in this video and my main All-Purpose Spray of 1 Tbsp. Sal Suds in a quart of water need only to be wiped off with a damp cloth. This step effectively picks up the soap and debris. I used the Dr.B. castille soap to wash my car, incl the windows. The car is white, so I didn't notice any spots, but last winter, in cold weather, the glass was covered with a white film on the inside that I have not been able to remove. It disappears as temps warm up. Not knowing what caused that film, I tried alcolhol, but it didn't work. If it is residue from the castille soap, what will remove the film?

Hi there- It sounds like you might have some residual Castile Soap streaking on the windshield. Cleaning with either undiluted club soda or a 1:1 dilution of water and vinegar should dissolve it. To avoid that in the future, use Sal Suds which is slightly more clean rinsing. Let me know how it goes.

Yes! The Castile works for windows as well. The All-Purpose spray made with 1/4 c. Castile in 1 qt. of water, but sometimes I dilute this more for windows, down to 2 Tbsp. Castile.

Hey Lisa, I used to use Salsuds exclusively at home, but then the scent started making me and my family cough every time we use it as an all purpose cleaner (1tbs/quart). I don’t get that reaction with pinesole. Other amazon reviews mentioned that too so I’m not the only one. please consider changing the scent or offering different ones. Thank you.

Hi Huss- I'm sorry you had this experience. Spraying our soaps can produce a fine mist of the product in the surrounding atmosphere, especially areas that aren’t well ventilated. It’s not common, but sometimes these fine mist particles trigger bronchial cells in the lungs, causing a brief bronchial spasm and coughs. But know Sal Suds does not contain any toxic ingredients. If your spray bottle has the option, it may be helpful to set the nozzle so that the mist is not so fine. Holding the bottle close to the surface you are spraying may also help. I'll also pass along your request for an unscented version of Sal Suds.

Hi, i live in the u.k and I can’t seem to get the sal suds here anymore, please can you tell me why? Ive even tried ordering it at my local health shop which is where i get my Castile soap from but they saiid it is unavailable ! Hi Tracy- Unfortunately, due to regulatory requirements, we are not actively selling Sal Suds in the UK. At the moment we do not have a timeline for when we will be reintroducing Sal Suds to the market. I’m sorry for any inconvenience. Hi Jeni - I missed your question last month! My apologies! Yes, Tucker loved his morning rides to help drop the kids off for school. My windows were covered in his noseprints. Tucker moved on to the realm of endless summer a year ago, but he leaves a beautiful legacy.
