Native instruments has a pretty decent free bundle right now. Komplete start. Definitely worth the download. It definitely takes a couple hours to download it all but it's a pretty simple set and forget process. You just click one button and they all start to install. Some of the sounds are useless but at the same time there's a lot of good ones.

You should check out the free versions of GUITAR and BASS from Ample Sound. These are WAY WAY too good for FREE...

This is a frustrating video because it doesn't indicate that these instruments require a Full version of Kontakt. Labs is a notable exception. But Full Kontakt should be in the KZbin title. Or, at least mention it in your reviews so that we don't waste time and disc space downloading them.

The instruments are free. However you can only run them on a full Kontakt. Kontakt player (free) does not allow to run unlicensed libraries.

No and yes. I use Bandizip and 7zip for zip and rar files. There are even more free alternatives. No one needs WinRAR anymore ;)

Are they just trials or am I doing something wrong? I had no trouble with LABS. (i'm probably missing something, that's why I'm asking) Cheers!

For the instruments that require Kontakt, they only work for 15 minutes. Is there any way to legally bypass this without paying the $300 for the full person of Kontakt?

Download Kontakt Player, its free!

@@MrKablesp It requires the full version of Kontakt, meaning Kontakt Player won't work. It has the 15 minute demo with it when opened with Kontakt Player. I don't think there's any way around this unless you buy Kontakt.

You can try to write the midi on a worse sounding instrument and than replace that instruments with the Kontakt one and freeze the track before the daily 15 minutes expire!
