Great video! Quick question, how are you getting the Nikon signal to the computer.. To replace a webcam? I'm trying to do better Zoom calls using either a Sony A73 or & Fuji X-T3, but the iMac can't see the cameras.. Maybe I need some sort of interface for it to work?

Pretty funny watching your autofocus have a cow when you were in silhouette and background was lit. I'm still using my Logitech but I have in on manual settings and getting my light dialed in. I think, to use any of my DSLR's I'd have to go with a capture card.. either internal or external. I'm not that dedicated to streaming live yet. Maybe if it starts to look like I'm getting some traction. Am I, however, _very_ glad and grateful you're that dedicated to it! Thanks for another good video!

Seth nice info! Yep, webcams really suck! Take notes manufactures, Start making better builtin webcams to at least quality of an (iPhone 6) smartphone, not like outdated security cameras! Also, give us control to adjust exposure!
@LastXwitness4 жыл бұрын
I’m sure there’s some apps out there for better webcam control but in the end it would raise cost of the laptops for sure like it did to phones. We have $1200 phones now...

@@LastXwitness Agree but why even bother putting a crappy webcam if they are crap/ now with everything going on remote video streaming is being used 4 schools and mental therapy sessions! pushing for better tech to keep people safe!

Seth! Thank you very much for your videos! Extremely helpful! One question I have with your AutoFocus Face Detection mode. I have the same gears as you, same setup, same lens, and not sure why my Face Detection is providing me the option of Auto Focus when connected with CamLink 4K during streaming - It only remains with the original focus I had when I half pressed the release button prior to starting the webcam streaming with the DSLR. Would really appreciate your help!
@LastXwitness4 жыл бұрын
You have it set on AUTO AREA af? So it’s not looking for single points but using the whole sensor? If that’s not selected it won’t look for faces to detect
@theFATEfactory4 жыл бұрын
The truth! 🙌🏽🙏🏽🎥🔥 Question... are you using something like an Elgato Cam Link? Or are you able to just connect to twitch straight hdmi without a third party live stream adapter? Hope you’re safe and healthy good sir!

Can you advise me on how to record a video with a very bright background and terrible lighting for the pastor at our church. I. Have to open up for him but the background is blown out
@LastXwitness4 жыл бұрын
What exactly is the background. You can jsut have him face the set up the other way towards the light source? If not you’ll want to change your cameras exposure to crunch that down then add your own light source for him
@DJCENTIF14 жыл бұрын
@@LastXwitness It's in a church. The rear has stain glass windows the pastor and choir stand in front of the windows. The lighting is led bulbs up high and straight down creating dark eye sockets. I think the best solution would be to add lights for them like you mentioned. The church isn't a mega church just a church built in 1835. What lights would you recommend to light them properly. Like I stated one pastor, five choir members and a pianist. Thank you for the reply and any help you can provide. Thanks to you and Daniel I am maintaining some normalcy at this time.
