Quick couple of questions on applying FX to samples/pads (I know not strictly related to this video but thought as it's newer then it might get a few more responses) - if you have an effect that you want to apply to a single sample in your pattern/project only e.g. low-pass EQ on a bass sample, presumably to save space on your Bus FX you would just resample that post-EQ? Then if you wanted a drum bus compressor FX and your drum loop consisted of a number of one-shots, would you individually resample the drum hits with compression, or reserve bus 1 or 2 to pass your drum loop through? Apologies for the questions - am new to the world of SP samplers so just getting my head around the possible workflows. Thanks in advance.

If you are trying to free up BUS or have stacked fx then yes you can resample. Most of the time you should be able to get what you need with the 4 BUS slots though. IE, BUS1 - MFX on melody samples, BUS 2 - Compression on Drum samples - then use 3 and 4 as master FX like EQ and whatever else you want to do to add some flavor!

How about the pitch function of the MKll? Is it good and do you like it? I'm really struggling with pitching on my SP 404 A. It creates a lot of artefacts. Did this improve on the MKll? I'm thinking of getting one. And do you have a video on this? Thanks for your great work, it helps me a lot :)

The pitch in the MK2 is infinitely better. The sx/a basically doesn't have one its that bad. You are better off using DJ FX Looper kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6XEnn-gq7mDn80
