Best, most uncomplicated explanation I have found.

Thanks Rob. After watching several of these videos and messing around with the remote I think I have come to the conclusion that the remote does not really work the way I want it too. I want to completely seperate the intervolometer function and multiple exposer sequence from the long exposure function. All I want is one and done operation where I set the shutterspeed (ie 1 minute) and press and forget. I think the way to sort of do this is to set as follows: Delay 00/ Long 01'00"/ INTVL 01"/ N1 001/ Repeat 1'00" or more and just stop it after the shutter closes. The key in my mind is setting the repeat function to a number that will be high enough to let me stop it manually. Is this correct? I have an older wired remote by neewer that was a clone of the cannon trigger and it was nice in that it has a rocker switch on the side of the that alloud you to increase or decrease the shutter speed after each shot. In other words shoot/review image/adjust/re-shoot if necessary. Am I getting this right? Is there a better way?

Do this: Delay 00/ Long 01'00"/ INTVL 01"/ N1 001/ Repeat 0'01" / N2 01. Make sure the camera is in bulb mode. Now when you push the remote trigger, it should open the shutter for 1 minute and stop. This is because we set N2 01. So the Repeat is irrelevant. If you want to change the shutter speed, just adjust the Long. Let me know if that worked.

This was helpful, Rob. Thanks. I've been looking to get a PixelPro. What camera and lens did you use to film this video (for the shot of you)? I'm fairly certain this is not the E-M10 ii. Am I wrong? OM-1 with the 45mm?

Thanks. I recorded this using the E-M10 ii with 17mm f/1.8.

@@RobTrek I'm actually quite surprised. I didn't see any typical bugaboos with that camera. I thought your shirt would definitely produce some moiré on that camera. I noticed a flatter look that operates well within the DR... it looked good. I like how your set is looking now. A few photos on the wall and it'll be good to give it a little more color.

Hi Rob, enjoy your channel. Is there a way to change the colours in the EVF in the OM1, everything looks washed out? Best regards

In the Wrench menu, Page 3, you can adjust brightness and hue. It's possible you have the brightness higher than you need.

Does this product able to do wired as well? Does the connector for wired included?
@RobTrek Жыл бұрын
Yes, a cable comes with it. Just be sure to order the right one for your camera. Some of my Olympus cameras use a proprietary connector so I ordered one specifically for it. The unit itself has a 3.5mm jack to connect various cables that you can order separately. So I ordered an additional cable to use with my other cameras.

My Lumix S1R has an option to shoot timelapses with zero interval between shots - it goes just as fast as it can. In contrast, my G9 has a minimum of one second. This would be useful for extended long exposures, perhaps combined with high resolution modes or exposure bracketting in Olympus and Lumix cameras. Would setting cameras to continuous shooting and using the intervalometer to set exposure duration work to eliminate the pause between shots?

It should work so long as your camera's buffer doesn't fill up first.

@@RobTrek Clearly that limits how fast one can shoot, for those wanting motion blur there will be no problem.

I am going to give a go to taking star trail photos. Like everyone else, I have the tw-283, but my pea brain is confused. If I want to take hundreds of photos, each of which will be 25 seconds long, do I tell my camera to take the photo for 25 seconds, or do I tell the tw-283 to keep the shutter open for 25 seconds?
@RobTrek3 ай бұрын
It depends on what shutter mode you set on the camera. If you're in shutter priority, you would set the tw-283 to take a photo every 28 seconds and your shutter speed to 25 seconds. If you put your camera in bulb mode, you'd set the tw-283 to keep the shutter open for 25 seconds, pause 3 seconds, then start again.
