Jim, much thanks for this video and the help last week getting me set up to buy a FSR Jag from Kinkos. It arrived yesterday and it's beautiful! Sonic Blue with an eggshell guard. I still can't get over the detail Kaz put into this sale what with pictures, a soundcheck video, shipping, and then to receive it so quickly was awesome. The price was the cherry on top. First time playing a Jag and I'm not sure the neck profile is right for me. Going to spend a little time with it and see. If I sell, I assure you, no price gouging here. These are such wonderful instruments, better than Fender USA lately (imo). It deserves to be in the hands of someone who will truly appreciate it and at a fair price.

I'm happy you got to experience how great of a service the guys provide out of that shop. Second to none in my book

Jim you’re a genius. Thanks for sharing. I absolutely love the sonic blue JM with mint guard. I would buy one of these in a heartbeat if I didn’t have a custom Bunting Melody Queen (in sonic blue) on the way! I just turned 40 man!

oh behalf of the community - thank you for giving us this information. im sure you have saved a lot of people a lot of money when you could have just kept it to yourself as some KZbinrs like the guy from mike and mike does and then rip people off for over a thousand dollars., I couldn't believe this price difference.

Everyone has to make a dollar that's life, but if I can save someone a grand I'm going to do it.

Personally I prefer buying guitars from abroad. Women are more honest! (Sorry!) But honestly this is very helpful for anyone looking for quality and value, thanks for your transparency in all things! Peace.

I have bought many guitars on yahoo japan auctions. Shippers don't want to ship to the US so you have to use a proxy service. I have bought wonderful gibson copies from Tokai, Edwards (the brand label ESP uses for their Japan only gibson and fender exact copies. Navigator is the brand label of ESP custom shop level gibson & fender copies), and Burny.
@AudiomoMusic Жыл бұрын
The only two brands on that list I haven't had on this channel is Navigator ( although I've played them in person absolutely unreal LP ) and Burny. The prices of Burnys are all over the place and finding a proper old Japanese one at a reasonable price has become a bit more complicated

my concern would be damage or return issues....
@AudiomoMusic Жыл бұрын
Nothing I worry about, they pack better than any American shop i've ever purchased from and everything is fully insured. As far as a return goes with this bonkers market as we've seen it'd be easier to sell it for a profit domestically than return it. How sad is that.

@@AudiomoMusic good points and glad you did the video. I love them short scale Fenders...nice for the ladies...

Glorious guitar! Congratulations Jim. This video is super helpful thanks for doing it. Here is a question: Are there import taxes? I’m buying from SoCal ( but not in Carlsbad ;))
@AudiomoMusic Жыл бұрын
If you were to get any import taxes, DHL will contact you while holding the shipment. I've found having done this in NY, San Diego, and now Florida it varies based on the state if you will get extra. If you were to be charged , it's 4.3%.

Interesting. Thank you for the reply. I have been lucky to score pretty good deals on used MIJ guitars from people in the states, but that Kinkos website seemed amazing!

Wow, love the color! Is the neck chunky or nice and thin?
@AudiomoMusic Жыл бұрын
Typically the U on Japanese Fenders is fairly chunky, this one feels a tiny bit thinner though.

Beautiful! Love Fender Japan stuff. Is that a Fuji Genn factory guitar?
@AudiomoMusic Жыл бұрын
yes it is!
@Asshat237 Жыл бұрын
@@AudiomoMusic Really? I thought Fender built their own factory in Japan in the last 5 years or so. I thought Fujigen (MIJ) or Tokai (CIJ) made all the japanese fenders before then, but not since. I have a tokai made Tele that is about ten years old. It's an unofficial Keith Richards signature, a copy of his famous tele Micawber - butterscotch blackguard with the humbucker in the neck.

@@Asshat237 Andertons recently said, when reviewing a Japanese Fender on their KZbin channel, that Fujigen are making them again now.
