I read every comment on your last video and they were overwhelmingly supportive and many offered excellent advice to you about your rights as a tenant. I will say that what has happened to you reflects very poorly on ITH, not on you.

I agree, how can ITH evict you without a reason, they say how they want to help people, this is terrible what they are doing to you, makes the look very bad. Are they doing this to other people? I have always felt that they will want to raise the rent sometime soon, could this be their reason? Go to the office and ask to speak to Randy or Amanda. to find out what is going on. Stay strong and stand your ground.

I am finding it disconcerting that a situation like this can occur without any type of letter of warning of a problem which would give you the opportunity to correct the situation. You say you are current with your rent so let's assume that is not the problem. You have not received any notices informing you of any problems. You say you were notified that the lease is being rewritten yet you did not receive the new lease to determine if any changes pertain to you. What Randy and Amanda have done and how they are handling this situation should send up major red flags to all of us who are thinking about tiny living ESPECIALLY since Randy and Amanda boast about how they want to help people to become an owner of one of their units. Tiny living is definitely a great way to have an affordable living experience BUT what this situation has pointed out is it is not a full proof experience that ensures any type of security and that is what is needed. I have so wanted to sell my house to go to tiny living but seeing your situation I think it has made me realize just moving to great community living is not all that is needed to be secure, I need my own land to have no worries of being told I have to vacate my parking space with no reason. I am sending you positive energy to make it thru this situation. I read a response from someone that this would be a great opportunity for you to put together information for others looking to go to tiny living, it sounds like a good idea to help others on how to look for red flags in avoiding situations like what you are going thru.

Yes,I never missed a rent payment! I was late once and I kept them informed the whole time. I was 2 days late, I had to get brakes then, unexpectedly. Things happen and they said no problem. Never had a complaint about me either. Definitely never warned about getting evicted over anything!!! Or non renewal lol whatever it's called, they want me to leave

I think it would help a lot of viewers if you could explain more about your relationship to ITH and the lot you are on. If your Mom is not the lease holder, and she/you are subleasing from another individual and not directly with ITH, maybe this has nothing to do with you and anything you did or did not do. Viewers have gotten the impression that you are being singled out and treated unfairly, even illegally, by ITH. But if it correct as another viewer just shared that ITH is no longer allowing subleasing, then maybe it is as simple as that. No drama or persecution involved. 🙏

​@@Bosslady0202it's important info that's been asked about but no answer. Who paid the key $. They've stated in videos that there are no long term rentals allowed (AirBnB 30 day max). Also does she own the house or her mom? If this is a sublet situation, that could be reason. Also this is not an eviction it's a non-renewal.

I do not know if Melissa will see this message but if this just about subleasing, perhaps her mom moves to ITH and Mellisa moves to where her mom lives. Seems logical and simple but not sure if too much time has past or was even considered when this all came about.

On a positive note, you could end up creating a really incredible video when all is said and done about what to look for in a tiny home community, how to find a local tiny home community, the 'top 10 things to ask when investigating new tiny home communities', etc. It could be a great series of videos that will really help your channel and others in this important quest.

What I don't understand is how they can rewrite the lease after giving you a lease. They are free to rewrite the lease, but wouldn't that be at the expiration of the last lease?

Still though it sounds like it would be tough for someone with a tiny home to move it in 30 days under any circumstance, wanted or unwanted. The ITH people talk often in their videos how hard it is to find communities to place tiny homes in general so I'd think they'd be more understanding. Maybe they'll extend it for her to find a place.

@@stacyr6573 Great point. It's really important to use proper terms. I can see where she may feel she is being evicted and it not being an actual eviction by definition. I think the biggest issue is giving someone enough time to find a place to move their home. Maybe the difficulty in finding a new location is why people in the community sell their homes when wanting/needing to move instead of moving it with them.

No. Legally, ITH doesn't have to provide any reasoning for eviction. Why do you think they do? But if I were ITH, I'd be careful about pissing off a youtuber. Then again... ITH seldom thinks things through.

Pay your rent as scheduled...I would contact the Better Business Bureau (lodge a complaint), also on Angi (was Angie's List), see if you can get a free attorney who does landlord / tenant issues...see if any others have found a place for your homes to be moved to

If you had a lease the owners cannot decide to "rewrite" the lease at will. It is my belief it is illegal.

She didn't have a lease, her mom bought the tiny and was the one on the original lease. She is a tenant, paying rent to her mom, and never bought a home from ITH.

I know you don't want to hear this, but a non-renewal of a lease & an eviction are two different things. I understand both result in a tenant having to leave, but they're not the same. Also an owner/landlord is not required by law to give a reason for not renewing a lease. An eviction is a different matter where they would have to file through the court (there's a specific process). They may never give you an answer as to why. Im sorry for your distress. It's a horrible situation to be in. Wish there was an easy solution. And please don't record & drive, with all this on your mind ❤🙏

ITH revently revised contracts. Originally sub leasing was okay, new by-law prohibits it. People's leases are coming up for review. I have a feeling her mom's name is the lease.

@@debbietice2937 In prior video's Melissa has stated that her mom own's the tiny house she lives in, and she's renting it from her mom. So her mom would have been on the original lease, as her mom bought 2 tiny's from them, and lived in this one until the other was built, and moved to where the mom now lives in the 2nd one. People are making comments about ITH taking Melissa's money for the tiny, but she's never been a customer of ITH, or bought a home from them.

I dont know the entire history of your home purchase. Did you pay the key money when you purchased your home or are you subleasing a lot? I know they mentioned subleasing lots would be ending. If you bought your home and payed the key money and are not being given a reason for eviction consider consulting an attorney. If they do not give you a reason them every single resident on ITH property should fear the same will happen to them.

These questions have been asked but not answered. They chose to not renew lease & notified her. That's all they're required to do. It's not an eviction. It's possible they're not renewing leases where there have been sublets. They have said in videos no long term rentals allowed & AirBnB limited to 30 days.

Giving a resident only 30 days notice is a terrible way to treat any customer and its also terrible PR for ITH because I certainly wont be giving them any of my money now.

She didn't buy the tiny, and was never a customer of ITH, as her mom is the owner. So, she's basically a long term renter, which ITH doesn't allow. I'm sure that this information is in the lease agreement that her mom signed when she purchased the home. She's confusing the issue, by saying she doesn't know why she got a non-renewal.

SUPER NICE PLACE!!! No Buy in! The owner has spent 2 million $$$ already and happy to welcome you. Many ITH residents have already moved here! They're completely happy with this fabulous place. Reasonable rent and has already built a beautiful Community center with a kitchen, laundry facility and a place for bands to have concerts all under 1 roof!!! I sent you in FB messenger the info!

Melissa: I am in a couple of groups for the Incred I Box on FB. There are people there saying they have orders and can't get in touch with anyone. Something is definitely going on at ITH. I love your channel and trust you, but I was really trying to keep an open mind when it came to ITH. Now I am very suspicious. Hang in there! Continued prayers for you (and Kody).

I have no knowledge of the NDAs, If any, or the ‘no social media’ restrictions, if any. Given that there seems to be an awful lot of people in many videos over the past few months commenting there are many ‘no talking’ restrictions. What is that all about? How is that possible and why would people agree to that for any reason? What is with all the secrecy? It’s sounding a bit odd. Sure no company wants negative things said about it and of course no company is perfect and doesn’t make mistakes, but good companies fix their mistakes and do better going forward. I’ve never heard of so many gag rules, if true. What kind of community is this? Am I missing something?

That is absolutely not true. Customers say that all the time and I say but I just spoke to you yesterday and they say oh but besides you. They just get anxious and start thinking something must be wrong. No one ever promised a daily report so why do y’all freak out when randy goes on a trip then if Amanda leaves too everyone thinks they are not allowed to conduct business anywhere but KZbin. Your house is small enough you should be able to rent a uhaul truck to move it. Check with RV parks to see if they have short term rentals spots that could stay at until you find better landing spot. Salvation Army and other community agencies have eviction assistance programs as well.

I for one was looking to move there soon & had convinced my sister to also buy a tiny & move to ith too! She would have never forgiven me…. I believe they owe you an explanation, you were upfront and made arrangements about the timing of the rent payments and they said that is okay. I wonder if they are getting flack for trying to evict others for no good reason and wonder why Randy and Amanda have not made any videos in over a week. I can't help but feel suspicious of their behavior. I live with my sister, but if anything happened to her, I would find someone else to build me a tiny house that is open to customizations. I once would have considered having built me a tiny house but not so much anymore and he doesn't seem to be flexible these days. Have you talked to your mom? Are there any lots open where she lives? Maybe she can help you get a U-Haul and move the house near her. I hope that would be the case.

When I was a leasing agent, had to evict one business that was 4 months late on rent and that was the Owners decision. Eviction was delivered personally, put on their door if not home. It can also be certified mail. Never heard of an email eviction. Some people don't read emails.

This is a non renewal of a lease not an eviction. They notified her. Legally not required to give her a reason. Eviction is a legal manner, must be sent by mail & at property, then filed with court.

Eviction would be if I refused to leave when they said I had to be gone. I'm still being kicked out of my lot. 30 days is nothing. I have vacate this lot by then. Why is nobody else getting this, why me?? And at the holidays, nice of them.

ITH designed everything, the big black wall, camera's everywhere around their big black wall, and a gate to the entrance of that big black wall so renters cannot access the office in any way. People who have never lived there just do not understand that ITH slapped up that massive wall to keep people out. You can't get to them to discuss anything!

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this, but everything will work out. Maybe try and find an RV lot in the surrounding area, even if it's just a temporary fix until you find something more permanent. Ask one of those guys that live or work in Tiny Town with a truck to cut you a deal on moving it. Your house is small enough that most full size trucks could pull it. You may end up in a better spot than you have now! The Lord will help you. Trust Him.

Those homes aren't that hard to move. People pick them up themselves. Checking RV parks & storage facilities is a great idea. I'd check local FB pages & camping/RV groups. They're usually pretty resourceful.

What the heck is going on at the place you live??? Prayers for you and your situation. Since you work iin Sevierville, maybe you can drop the microphones I sent you by my apt and I can ship them back to Amazon get a refund, and give you a gift card to get the right ones. I am 80 and on a fixed income, so money is not easy for me either...I live about 2 blocks from the Courthouse downtown,and I would really like to be able to give you a giftcard. If I can figure how to send you a copy of the label, that would work too,you could send it back. Can your tiny house be moved with a big pickup or is there a restriction on moving it? We’re here to support you and you will find something perhaps better than what you have now. If being frustrated with ITH is too much, place your focus on where you’re going next. You don’t want to stay in such a place with poor management practices. It’s just wrong to expect you to be out so quickly when they know full well that there are limited areas across the USA that accept tiny homes. Randy mentions that frequently in videos. I think he’s a builder, not a property development and management person and that might be his problem. If so, you don’t want to stay there, it’s an unstable place to live.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through that it's hard to even know what to say! It's terrible that they won't even tell you WHY and really doesn't seem fair or ethical at all. I hope maybe there's some way you could get a lot where your mom lives. Sometimes the worst things that are such a crisis at the time end up working out to be for the best in the end. I hope that will be the case for you & sweet Kody. It's a lot for you to have to deal with in such a short time. Please don't worry about replying to people right now because we understand you're under a lot of pressure. Just know that your subscribers care about you and will be praying for a good outcome. Take care of your yourself and update when you're able.

Four years ago he lost his wife of 33 years just after there anniversary and christmas, She had been very sick for about two years before she pasted.They never did figure out what was wrong with her.She would get better and stabilize,then something else would go wrong, towards the end they put her on kidney dialysis. while on dialysis she crashed and went into a coma and passed away.I am a care giver and a friend of his for a long time so he had asked for help for setting up care for her when she could come home. Sadly that did not happen. Some time after she passed we became closer and developed into a relationshit. never in a million years would we have thought we would end up togetter.But at the end of his dark time he would find a happier place. I honestly don't think it's legal to rewrite a lease before it's ending date. I used to rent out my house before I sold it and I had to give my tenant a 90 day notice to Vacate here in Arizona.

Agreed and I just made this comment. Where I live the signed lease stands. It can't be revised in the middle of a current lease. So I'm confused. And if a lease is not going to be renewed, tenants need to get 60 days notice to vacate, not 30 days. ... I'm not clear if she received a Notice of Non Renewal or an official Eviction Notice. If an eviction, technical she can stay until she is served by the Courts which is usually another 30 days until the court date.

This is not only heartbreaking but quite sobering. I thought this was a compassionate company. And considering what you've been and are still going through, I'm gobsmacked. It was too good to be true -- "same as it ever was" like the Talking Heads song. They could have at least given you 90 days, considering how difficult it is to find a new tiny landing place. They clearly know a lot of their residents have either retired or have had trauma and this was their way into a new start. I had this fantasy of the ITH community -- a tiny salt-of-the-earth utopia. I feel bad for you and Melissa. Many folks have known about this company's lack of ethical practices for a long time. Not sure how you and others missed it but now is a good time for reflection and enlightenment so that you have a transformation and never fall for this obvious nonsense ever again in any context. One clue was the palm trees expenditures. Another clue was that the mountain has never been completed and covid manufacturing issues are long over.

Many of the others bring up good points regarding ITH rule changes regarding subletting, airbnd's, etc. Many of the bigger announcements are indeed in their YT vids by the way. It may be that it's not personal, but rule changes taking effect. Still, with these being relatively smaller & tight knit communities, it would have been consistent, professional & the right thing to do for ITH to have called you personally to go over those rules, how it would effect you in the event of a sublet & if they could accommodate you elsewhere with another lot option. After all, they constantly stress how they want to help people & come up with reasonable options that work for everybody, so now is a time for them to prove their biz model they speak so much of. Suffice to say, ITH has a steady rotation of available lots, along with the new ones in the mountain plus elsewhere like Buffalo Creek. I think they are in way over their heads now managing tiny home communities in Nevada, North Carolina & now Alabama on top of whats going on in East Tenn. It could be that Randy has no idea of your situation & it's just done with paper pushers in the office. When you're calmer, you really need to head over there & request to speak with a supervisor in the lease department. Bring a support if need be, but keep the Italian volcano calm for now in order to avoid self-sabotage. You may in the end be very right, but don't put yourself into a position of being "dead right" & you've burned a bridge & exhausted realistic options in that area. Breathe, be calm, be faithful & be strong. Bless you & we've got you in our thoughts. One last thing just came to mind. If this is indeed subletted to you, perhaps there may be a legal situation or rift going on between that person & ITH & as a result they are tight lipped, especially if it's an ongoing litigation or proceeding. You may want to call the person who subletted it to you ASAP to see if they can at least be honest with you since you'd be the monkey in the middle in all this. Just a theory, but given the lack of clarity, one I'd pursue if I was you immediately. Must contact a legal aid/pro bono attorney or paralegal in landord/tenant matters tomorrow or Monday at the latest. Best to make some progress before going into the weekend or it's gonna eat at you. I think they said in one of the lives that the NC community didn't happen because the local council (or board or city gov't or whoever was in charge) vetoed it and Nevada didn't happen because the county said the development needed to have ground services (water, electricty, etc.) and couldn't be a completely off-grid community. I don't know if they're still trying to make something happen in NV or are just moving on to another community. Someone who watches all the ITH videos could probably fill you in with more details than I'm posting.

On one hand it's disturbing that govt thinks it has some parental or "Godly" authority over how folks want to live peacefully, yet I also find it odd that it never occured to ITH to do their due diligence & have a very detailed proposal of their intentions & present that to local, county zoning & housing boards before even paying a single dime on a parcel of land. To think of all that time, hundreds of thousands if not more as a down payment, plus any lending institutions, escrow, laywers, surveyors, etc. What a waste. Randy seems to float good intentions, but he's often "penny wise, but pound foolish". Been following ITH for years with the exception of the last few months or so..got behind I guess, but he's just so incredibly naive, even by his own admission. He needs to surround himself with more biz savvy folks who for better or worse understands the politics of it all at the end of the day. Too much of a careless dreamer at the expense & trust of those who can ill afford these types of mishaps.

The NV property makes sense having county guidelines for establishing a community with services because a group like ITH which has no experience in high heat desert climates could result in mass emergencies. I live in a desert state and we're used to 115 summers for months on end, and it's more than doable. But the limited battery use he was describing, small water tanks, etc sounded like a huge no-go from me. I make no claim to know in-depth building codes, but there is a reason automobile manufacturers test their cars in the desert and extreme snow; what 'should work' on paper often does not in actual trial. That aside, I think most of ITH's problems stem from the constant changing of information. It's one thing to change a program, change a sale or change a community, but the daily changes are too much. For those serious about moving to ITH or buying one of their homes I don't know how they would buy with confidence. The homes appear to be constructed well and the employees that they show in the workshop/factory seem to be really nice folks, but its just too much needless drama if someone is interested in investing their money and relocating their lives to one of their communities. I want all businesses to succeed.....through ethical practices.

Folks who are looking for tiny homes don't want the drama, nor can they afford it or they'd likely seek out a more conventional option elsewhere. These people require integrity & stable living situations upheld by a code of ethics. Most of the buyers, as well as those in the communities are in the lower income brackets, are on VA or disability benefits, pension, retirement or survivors benefits. I hate seeing folks get swindled since this was likely their only chance at living independently. Very few, if any, have a viable option #2. I truly hope that ITH recalibrates if you will & gets back on track with the original message that garnered them a bit of fame, respect & notoriety from the beginning. Time for them to get back to their identity & roots. Stay local & be a role model for other builders to follow..but let others do it too. ITH doesn't have to be the answer to the country's housing needs. Stick with what you know in your own backyard is how I see it.

You seemed to have a lot to add, however you need to know.... They have no properties in NC, the deal in SC did not go through. The property in AL is not theirs, they have only been given exclusive rights for home manufacturing. The lot she is subleasing...I believe is her mothers. The content of the new contracts were causing a lot of scuttlebutt a few months ago, Randy and Amanda posted a video addressing the changes. I feel she and her mom have had time to prepare for the "inevitable". Just a couple days ago in a "live" a viewer brought up the eviction going on. They were discreet in the way they answered it, but Randy said he's asked the person to have a conversation with them and there was no reply. Legally, I would imagine ITH has to settle this with her mom. ITH and mom have history. You Tube is a wonderful platform to reach the masses and also benefit. I have read several comments from viewers wanting to help get her home moved...I believe even offering a place to place it. She is fortunate to have received offers. Its now time to take action and move on.

I remember seeing a video with Randy. And it's saying that there are some people at the community that don't even pay rent. And he was not going to evict. so I don't know what's going on with Randy You pay rent and get evicted, while others don't pay rent and do not get evicted.

@@inthesunbythebeach I know some of them stayed as much as six months after they got an attorney. Once a person gets an attorney, the harassment from ITH seemed to stop. Most of them finally found a place to move instead of having to continue paying enormous amounts to their attorney. Randy knew by switching attorneys constantly that the renters would have to keep paying up to their attorneys. He's a snake, and that's truly an understatement.

There is a difference between eviction and non-renewal. Eviction is when rent is not paid. Is the notice from the court or ITH. You should call the county clerk and see if this is an eviction. If you do not pay the lot rent , ITH can put that on your credit report. The lease that was sent to you was it signed? Not sure if the lease can be re-written after it was sent to you, the lease can be amended. Not sure about Tennessee laws. When you asked to have your date changed to pay rent you should have had that in writing.

It's a non renewal issue. Sounds like she was waiting for an updated lease which she did not receive. Then they sent notification that they weren't renewing lease. Legally they aren't required to give a reason.

Is there anybody else who remembers? Look, I know ITH is suspect to a lot of shady dealings from all we have read and surmise, but we don't know why they didn't renew her lease. Now she says she is the only one. Why just me??! When first video she said I know. Not the only one... Anyway. you can't have a YT channel and do this to the man who decides if you stay or go. It's not an eviction. They notified her that they were not renewing her lease which is their right. All that's required is notification. Legally they're not required to give a reason.

@@stacyr6573 maybe not ... there would be a couple of questions that would have to be answered like (1) is one months' notice reasonable? it is a tiny house land lease and not an apartment lease, despite if it's in enumerated in the document or not; in that case, she could go to court and request an injunction until she could find a place to move to; (2) did she pay an infrastructure fee to ITH to gain the lease? again, despite what the lease or contract, whichever it may be, says, there is the standard of reasonableness, which if violated, could end up back in court. She has other moves that she can legally take, as well. If she cannot find a suitable place to move to in the prescribed time, then she could force an eviction. This would mean that ITH would have to go to court and go through the eviction process. (e.g., on Dec. 7 they would have to go to the appropriate magistrate or judge and start the proceedings. Presuming they win, she would be given a certain amount of additional time and the sheriff would come out and post and eviction notice. This buys her time, at least. (As landlords, we have been through this many times and it can take months in some cases to remove the tenant.) Additionally, it seems that there has been some recent pushback from the county on the tiny house village. Another avenue she could then take is to create a political problem by claiming that she was "defrauded", whether it meets the legal standard or not. In other words, ITH talks about creating housing to help people who can't afford standard housing. But, yet, they don't renew the lease of this single women? (Tears might also help!) Finally, that we can think of off the top of our heads, she keeps reporting on how she has done wrong by ITH in her opinion. Would that work? In our case it sure has. We had intended to buy from ITH but it seems, if Melissa is an example, that this is not the company we want to do business with. (And we were talking multiple units.)

If Randy hasnt followed the law directly, you do not have to leave by the 7th. Bottom line is you must be served a legal notice of eviction, and it must state why.

@@italian_grl I’m so glad you have an outlet for your struggles. When I divorced way back, I became very sick, couldn’t even get out of bed except to do most important stuff. I clung to God & He got me thru. But I lost so much health, youth & time. I think YT is a healthy outlet for you so you do not get stuck like I did. But God did turn bad to good, PTL 💜✝️💜

Technically your house is your mom's right and you rent the lot? So they want you out of that lot. Did they use the word "evicted" in it? If they are, the law states that they need the file an eviction with the court. They must post said notice on your door. The motice will state how long you have to legally be out which should be 30 days from the date they filed the eviction notice. It should state why as well. By law, you get to dispute/answer their complaint and request to evict within a certain number of days as well. Tennessee has landlord/tenant laws.

This question has been asked numerous times but not answered. It's an important detail. They have stated in videos no long term renting & 30 day max in AirBnB. Who paid the key $ for the lot? Is the house owned by her or the mother. Supposedly her mom bought it for her to live in & the lot is someone else's. If so, I can see the issue. Although they can refuse to renew a lease for any reason.

Google Lanlord/Tenant laws Tennessee. You may have already done so. I don't know what your lease reads but my understanding is you have to be informed of why you are being evicted. Also keep in mind an eviction goes against you for credit purposes. If, as I suspect, the lease reads landlord has the right to evict for any reason or no reason at all; I don't believe this is legally correct, but I may be wrong. Does the Notice read 'eviction', or not renewing your lease? If they are just refusing to renew your lease; and you were blindsided and have no where to go, if it were me, I would, of course seek legal cousel, but use all the videos where the two tv star wannabes have stated over and over they were not going to raise rents and they wanted all of their tenants to stay, I believe this is verbatim, "Forever". I should not get involved but I have not said anything wrong and I know how they jerked me around for months, so I feel compelled to share what information I know which is not legal advice; that you need to get from a lawyer. Just read through the laws of TN.

It's not an eviction. They have chosen not to renew her lease which is their right. They only have to notify her, which they did. They are not required by law to give a reason. She did not sign a new lease. An eviction is a completely different matter.

I think they may be subletting the lot. Her mom bought the house for her to live in (not sure who's name is on the title). A few people have asked for details. I know they're not allowing long term rentals. So this could be part of it.

Melissa, If your mom paid the infrastructure fee for the lot, was there a contract for that and separate from the yearly lease contract? There should have been. That contract should have stated that paying the infrastructure fee entails being allowed to renew the lease for 99 years each year (as long as there are no lease violations). I've been warning for a year that the infrastructure fee should come with a contract that includes Randy's 99 year claim along with other important terms and conditions and should be separate from an annual lease. .... Also, I'm hoping her name and your name are both on all paperwork. Did you and she have an attorney review before signing anything? ...Can you and her switch houses? Or at least temporarily switch living in each other's homes to buy more time. #TeamMelissa

There is a recent video like within months that came out and said that they people weren't paying rent and they refused to pay rent and they also said that people who were not Community people or talked to several times about their behaviors and these were the people that they were going to evict

Melissa, I wonder if it's because in your earlier videos, you said you didn't like the people in Newport. You said it more than once. I think it would be terrible of them to evict you for that reason. It would be pretty thin-skinned of them. But it wouldn't surprise me because Randy wants everyone to think that ITH is perfect. Renters have a lot more protection in Canada. I know Americans think we're idiots to have so many regulations. But I like it.

It's not legal to evict someone based on their beliefs. The country is pretty divided politically, for example, as in many countries, and people cannot be evicted just on opinion. We have free speech in this country. You can't slander someone, but a different, oposing opinion is not slander. No one is expected to like every neighbor and everyone in their community, that is unrealistic. It sounds like she is a good tenant, pays her rent, keeps her area nice, etc.

ITH is a ponzi scheme. Think about it... you pay $10-$15k for a lot to "rent". Then, you get evicted and ITH charges any new prospective renter another buy-in fee (He said as much in a previous video). Therefore, it is in ITH's financial interest to turnover as many tenants as they can after the initial first year lease is over. Bernie Madoff would be proud. Lol.

@@vancey6072 She stated they gave her a lease a couple months ago that she signed and now tried to give her another one. If you lease an apartment for a year the landlord can't rewrite that lease a couple months later without due cause. If that was the case no leases would be valid ever.

Yes. After 1, 2 or 3 years of living there, they may decide to not renew your lease. Then they'll lease your space/ lot to a new person for new "key money". Also, check reviews on Google, Yelp and the Better Business Bureau re: their house builds.

It's hard to put the pieces together, the more I watch and listen, the more convoluted it all gets. We had heard that people paid $6000 upfront and then nothing for 2 years to live in the Forest. But apparently, it wasn't always that way for everyone and in every case. Some homes have been put up for resale by owners who hadn't done that, who have been paying monthly because they were waiting for their lots across the street to be available.

A mom/daughter arrangement to me is not the same as a long term rental. It’s family helping each other. ITH is pushing the limit in this case. I sure hope they make this right. I always say, the truth always comes out in the end. You don't just go up and try and talk to Randy and Amanda, ok? Anyone here knows that. I said in my short earlier that I will do my video later as I'm taking care of my sick dog. Kody comes first. I don't have to lie and make up things, I have proof, receipts of rent, no complaints...I have screen shots of emails between us before. I have proof of what I day. I don't need to lie. So many comments on here speculating for her as 2 why when she said herself she doesn't know why. Maybe she was given 30 days to come in and sign or she would have to vacate. If she would have gone into the office to find out why she would have all the facts. All she saying is they hate her there and they will because causing her trouble if she doesn't move. Being that I've never heard her say anything wrong about ith on her videos and she does have friends there and she walks a neighbor's dog and before this seemed pretty happy to be there I think the best thing to do is go to the office and find out what the deal is before copping a major attitude and a woe is me I have to leave, they hate me. We have deadlines where I live and the notices we get specifically says make an appointment and if you're not here by such and such a time to sign it'll be paying higher rent and you can be evicted. Too many comments without all the facts.

Just because that is how it is where you live doesn’t mean it’s like that everywhere. Most leases in larger areas are sent via email and signed electronically so making an appointment to physically sign a lease is strange to me but doesn’t mean that is how it is for you. Also, she has details she can’t say right now because she still lives there. I don’t understand people scolding her because she doesn’t operate in the same manner as you would. She is obviously upset and stressed

She did respond to their communication to her through the same message format they used to contact her to let her know they weren't renewing her lease. She asked them to contact her and give her more information because she was blindsided and had no clue why. Hopefully they will do the right thing and contact her.

Melissa's mom bought into the right to lease the lot. The problem is that ITH keeps changing the rules on how you can use that property. And ITH can do that to you if you are gullible enough to deal with them.

And if he did it to multiple people, he would only get away with it once because no one would take that risk after the first batch were put out and he'd have a bunch of empty lots. That would be a pretty dumb business move. You may really want this to be about that but the facts don't match your logic. The facts, as we know it, are that a couple of people did not get their leases renewed for reasons unknown to to us and should remain that way. This will probably happen every year which is the whole purpose of 1 year leases, so you can weed out the problems. That's the way it is in every rental unit situation around the country but for some reason, ITH is supposed to operate differently, I guess?

They did not renew her lease and it was intentional not a mistake. After what they did to her she does not want to stay there. The new leases they sent out state renters can not video or film in their homes. Melissa has a KZbin channel so that alone would disqualify her for a new lease. Ridiculous! ITH/Randy try to control everything concerning their renters and do not want the truth about them to come out so that their believers will still purchase tiny homes and gift them the “key money” of $30,000 that they now charge to rent a lot. This is going to hurt ITH in the pocket for sure. Shows his true colors.

What kind of absurdity is that? If that’s true you should post this comment on the main video feed and post on many videos about this so people know what they’re getting into vs here as a reply to comments where not all will see. People need to speak up about this. People have a right to work from home and/or for many, social media is a full time job. Its one thing if the community doesn’t want filming outside for neighbors privacy but how can you prevent someone creating a video inside? What if someone has an art channel they can’t work from home there because they’d be creating videos inside their home they paid for? Scary controls.

Are you saying you haven't been under a lease at all for months? They can't make you vacate without cause if you were under a lease. They can't change a lease in the middle of a lease. You should start better commuicating with us your supporters so we can help you or you are going to miss out on legitimate support. Is your mom involved? She bought the lot? Can you explain whose name is on the relevant legal documents? You're being confusing. We all want to help you but need more information please.

Since the info received thus far is minimal... (gotta love youtube), I'll go out on a limb here to suggest they aren't renewing your lease because you are subletting it from somebody (your mother?), and you don't actually own the home. Their new lease most likely excludes this since you didn't have to pay a buy-in fee. (which everyone who buys an existing home from somebody will have to now).

Melissa mentioned a current resident told her the new leases state you can not film/video inside your tiny home and post to any social media. I firmly believe this is the reason she is being evicted since she has a KZbin Channel. They are trying to sensor and control their tenants.

​​​​@@italian_grlMelissa. It's their income but perhaps they didn't gossip about landlord and female neighbors goings ons and relations on their channel. Please get honest. Gossip and slander is destructive. Whether true or not. Nobody wants a gossip as a neighbor., especially one with a YT channel. I like your channel and the content but can't deal with dishonesty and people not being totally transparent. Own it and make amends. It's ok to admit it. Maybe you forgot about that video? It's just not right to have people all angry for you though. I don't like that vibe. Most of us offered legal advice because your facts weren't presented accurately. Others want to send you money. I hope that's not what you and your channel is about. Speaking the truth in love. The truth will set you free.

@@Stacey721 I have been watching Melissa since she started her KZbin Channel and don’t recall the incident you describe, but I have read many of your comments on these past 2 videos where you have repeated this numerous times. You have spread this information more than anyone. If you’re so bothered, why do you keep coming back and watching/commenting. Melissa is a precious sweet person and I don’t believe for one second she’s had ill regard for anyone. Her and her Mother have gone through absolute hell with their experience with ITH/Randy. Why don’t you mind your own backyard yourself. I’m quite tired of reading your comments to be honest. If you don’t support her just stop and move on. Good lord woman.

​​​@@KatieAllison77 I have as much right as you do to comment and ask questions. Calling out a person to be honest is not a bad thing. She may have caused her own problems by gossiping on YT about her neighbors and landlord. I tried to honestly help her as many others with legal advice. I like her and her channel but don't know her personally. Neither do you. So strange how people don't question others, and have a strange parasocial relationship with strangers. Transparency and accountability is not a terrible thing. I like her too but it's not wise to place people on pedestals.
