I approve of these repairs, all of them. Hazard switch is unobtainium, so what you've done is perfect. I lucked out and found I had a brand new one in the package on the shelf for my 87 I'm trying to get running. Love the content and the humor - look forward to the next one!

I am currently in the middle of making a 9 pin hazard switch from a 2nd gen work in the 87. I have everything but brake lights, so I am going to run the brake light power past the switch to the wires and use diodes to prevent back feeding the system.

Also I am checking with a few KZbin guys in Australia about getting a used hazard switch from them.

Coming along, way better than when you got it.

The Hazard switches on these are a common issue and rare to find. Someone though in the FB Montero community has managed to modify a 2nd Gen hazard switch to work. The only issue is fitting it inside the dash opening as they are slightly different sizes.

I wanted 30/9.50s, but couldn’t find any cheap ones at the time 🤷♂️😀

How did the starter replacement go?
@Foxcanfixit Жыл бұрын
Well, getting to the solenoid and stuff was fine, but Who in the H E double hockey sticks decided threading mounting bolts in from the bell housing side was a good idea? Hopefully they fired that guy.

@@Foxcanfixit when you were asking if you should do it on a livestream, I was like "NO!" It's a two universal joint, three extension and four beer job.
@Foxcanfixit Жыл бұрын
It was a universal socket, wobbly extension, stubby flex head ratchet, and I still needed an extra wrist or elbow joint 😀
