Dear sir I have one question. I have made a company in Quickbook desktop and enter all the inventory with home currency cost now I want to deposit usd in equity account and pay the account payable in home currency. I would appreciate if you guide me thanks

Very informative. Thank you! I have not run the home currency adjustment for each month end. All currency bank accounts, currency customer/supplier will need to be adjusted, correct?

Everything will need to be adjusted but only if you are reporting financial statements.Because if not you can just do your bookkeeping normally until you have a transaction with the other currency Mark

Thank you so much for your video, I am an accountant working on a client that is based in the US, but has clients and vendors in Canada. Intuit does not have any personal that are multi-currency experts in desktop, your video is literally the only support they could provide. My question: We provide monthly reports to our client, however we have an issue with our AP and AR Aging reports. They show a difference compared to the account balance on the balance sheet, do you provide any videos on the financial statements and how this is adjusted in the background (balance sheet vs AR/AP aging summary)? We have a difference of almost $4,000 (which has forced our AR/AP to be a credit balance). Our client has separate AR/AP for forign and home currency clients. Our "CAD" aka Canadian AP/AR accounts are the ones that are off. Do you have any videos how to fix this (similar to the end of your video explaining the realized vs unrealized gain and losses). Thank you for any assistance!

Thank you very much for browsing the channel and being a fan I do have a playlist regarding sales tax. That will explain everything about how quick books can track and display and report and manage sales tax I do not have the payroll add-on app. Because I do not make videos for add-on apps and separate subscriptions. But in the payroll section they deal with payroll taxes However I do have a video that shows how you would do. Something called Tax mapping It means recording to each account in the chart of accounts. The tax form line that the account will go on if somebody imports the file into a tax software I can send you the link if you're interested Mark

I wish that you would mention how to handle ITEMS (Products/Services) in another currency. We BUY product in another currency. But when this product is set up in QB we must enter the cost is home currency (USD), meaning we have to use a fixed exchange rate. Therefore we never can see the actual cost and must manually adjust exchange rate when we pay bills. It is frustrating that QB doesn't allow you to set up an Expense account in another currency. If you know of a solution, I would appreciate it.

Actually the principles and ideas that are shown in this video absolutely apply to items the same way whether they are services or products If you simply follow the guidelines and the instructions here for each different transaction type then everything will work fine and it will not matter that you have items or inventory Mark

@@worldwidequickbooks thank you, but I think that you are missing the point. the item must have a fixed price. however, the price is actually not fixed because it is in a different currency which is always changing. which means that I am manually adjusting the exchange rate and/or price each time I must use that item for a purchase order or bill. please let me know if I misunderstand your reply.
