Good overview of the key elements of the Mac version. With the recent pricing changes I've been planning on holding off till spring 2018 to maximize the value from my 2016 Premier and have been going back & forth whether to move to the Mac version or retain the Windows version this next round. Thankfully the licensing allows either for one purchase price and I assume I can move back & forth as needed (running Windows in a VM) as needed. While I could wait till 2019, with the recent tax changes one might assume more changes next year requiring updates more often going forward. Thanks for the walk-through.

I loved your review until I got to 15:20 when you said that you are showing Quicken, Home, Business and Rental in your video. I was specifically looking for business and rental features for MAC and was excited to see them included in your video, entitled "Quicken 2018 for Mac Review - Starter, Deluxe, and Premier", but now it looks like those feature are only available in the PC version. Did I miss something? Is there a Home,Business & Rental Property version for mac?

Sorry, the Business and Rental features are only in the Windows version so far.

Also, just to clarify, in the video what I am showing is the Mac version. It is what you would get if you purchase Quicken Premier for Mac. When I show the version number, it shows "Home, Business, & Rental" only because I have purchased that level of Quicken, but when I install it on a Mac it is basically the Premier version.

Ok, You seem to know a lot about this program. Tell us what happens when the membership ends. Will Quicken program become inactive? Meaning will it just not work anymore?

Quicken will continue working if the subscription expires, but it will be limited. You will still be able to access all your data, run reports, and enter transactions manually. You will not be able to download transactions from your bank, download stock quotes, or receive new software updates.

When you convert from the Windows version to Mac, do the transaction attachments (receipts, etc.) also come over or are they left behind?

The attachments do not transfer over at this time. Hopefully that will be in a future update. When you purchase Quicken 2018, you get access to both the Windows and Mac version, so you can try both if you have both types of computer.

None of the Mac versions contain the business or rental property tools. You won't lose any of your data if you transfer from Windows, but you won't be able to view the business-related reports or create invoices/estimates or use the other business tools.

Not sure what you mean. Normally your address is pre-printed on your checks. Quicken just prints out the payee, the date, and the amount.

Yes, you can set up and track loans, including mortgages, personal loans, and auto loans.
