Yes, he’s done 1000+ mile road trips in it; while hauling a trailer. Yes, he puts slicks on it at the track. No, it doesn’t need to get rebuilt “every pass” or “100 miles”. Yes, this 3000+hp car requires more maintenance and won’t last as long as your 200hp Kia.

Increasing timing and fuel mixture to compensate, which gives more power. This car doesn't even need to run boost on the street because it runs a Steve Morris 572 cid big block that's capable of making 1000hp without boost. What's the point in making 4000+hp on the street or on street tires? Are you really complaining that this car can run on pump gas? Or are you complaining that changing tires, adding good fuel, and putting a hot tune in it makes it capable of running low 6 sec 1/4 mile?

There's no word stretching. Is it a car? Yes Is it street legal and often driven for hundreds of miles on the street? Yes Has it run 5.7 seconds in the 1/4 mile? Yes Therefore, it's a 5 second street car. You could make a solid argument if it was a "quickest 0-60" claim; but that's not the case here. Saying things like "but it can't do it on the street" is pretty absurd for a 1/4 mile time. It's akin to me saying that "a Tesla Plaid isn't a 9 second street car because it can't do it on my street".

@@clemensexenberger2455 That makes perfect sense. They've still got to dial it in. 4 link systems are so tuneable. They can roll the diff forward and let it load down and rearward giving more time for that weight transfer to put the power down before reaching the limit and then the tires blow loose or the front end comes up. I feel that the absolute best it can get is with the front wheels off the ground about 10 inches easing onto the front wheels. If the rebound on the front is too slow it stops the slow dropping of the front end as it hits the stiff front end and the weight instantly shifts to the front, quickly losing weight on the rear and the tires haze out.

There is a different between street cars and street legal. If it has lights, mirros turn signal works and it can drive for 1000 miles then it’s a street car no matter what you do to it. Even it it has gutten interior

You do realize streetcar. Just means it’s a production car. Not a top fuel dragster. Yeah it’s clearly modified. Yeah it’s highly unlikely it’s street legal anymore. Imo there’s a difference between a street car and a street legal car. That is by no means a street car, it’s a drag car that has the ability to drive on the streets. Because we all know as soon as he’s done with that pass, he can’t just hop onto the freeway.. it’s a nice car, but as I said before there’s a line between street legal and a street car

For the misinformed people saying it can’t be street legal: that likely only applies to your state. In many states there are no emissions testing, all you need is turn signals, brake lights, headlights, and horn to register a vehicle. Just because you couldn’t in YOUR restrictive state doesn’t mean other states don’t practice an “As long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else you’re good” policy.
