Still look great, partner! The material softens and the finish “breaks in” a little over time, but not in a bad way. Very glad we did it.

Would you recommend keeping the cushion inside while painting the covers? Also, how has it held up 1 year later!?

Leaving the cushion in helps to stretch the fabric. It has held up very well. As the material and paint softens, it slightly changes look and texture, but not for the worse. Still very happy we did it!
