Very well said! Elitism in photography has existed for ever. Especially with more experienced “photographers” who try to put down beginners. There are also the professionals who tell other people not to shoot places that have been shot to death etc. just do what you love and forget about the idiots. Nobody improved their craft by being put down nor by being discouraged from what they love the most.

Very timely Greg - just spent two hours giving a talk to a camera club showing and saying exactly the same thing. Pigeon-holing, categorising, style-stepping et al do nothing but stiffle the one thing a lot of people seem to have lost sight of - the creativity and ability to find and produce a piece of art to hang on a wall. Photography is a creative art and folk would do well to remember that.

Well said Greg , when i see a great picture what gets me asking myself is how much planning and effort went into it for they deserve all the credit they deserve but i also realise we can turn up to a venue and weather, light etc is perfect but you still have to take the picture ....keep up the good work Greg enjoy your videos very much
