Nice Jeeps. Great project would be to make one complete M38A1 out of two. But that is a LOT of work.

I want to build one, but it's probably going to be awhile. I have half a dozen projects stacked up before them.

@Quick Speed Shop I will wait and continue to watch till you get to them. Cause I know it will be epic build like all your others.

I might try to fire the red one sometime this summer. Other than that I don't plan on doing anything else with them this year.

It would be neat to see you get one of the 38A1s going utilizing the other as a parts rig!

The red one has the later battery box lid which would make it a 1954 and later. Data plates are always switched around either by the military or previous owners. Check the tag on the inner passenger wheel well as it should match the data plate serial number. The green on has the early style battery box lid and would be correct for the 52 -53. The other thing you mentioned was the indentation on the right side of the body. That is actually for the military slave cable that is used to jump dead vehicles. Those two jeeps are way too far gone to save and the best you could do is find one in better shape using those two as donor vehicles.

I doubt the plates were swapped. These are both low mile, unmolested examples. I think there were manufacturing differences that the guides claim as fact like the battery boxes and grille hinges or lack there of.

Hey. Tell about that little trailer with the turtle top.
@QuickSpeedShop Жыл бұрын
It's a Haliburton Oil Well equipment trailer from the 1950s. I got it from some friends that got it from New Jersey. I assume it originated from the Midwest originally.

I just bought a M38A1 but I am looking for one of the dual function fuel pumps.. do you have one you would sell from the set up motors?
@QuickSpeedShop Жыл бұрын
I'll have to look. I'm not sure if I have a spare that is any good.

@@QuickSpeedShop I appreciate it! There is a company that I could have rebuild it if it’s no good but I don’t even have a core to send them.
