I never said great gun for a T4 TD. Compared to many of the other T4 mediums and heavies, on the other hand, the gun is nothing short of insane. The DPM and alpha is staggering within its own tier. If that same gun were mounted in a proper turret with a half-decent hull, you'd end up with... A stock M4 Sherman. Well then.

I do have these kinds of games too, but being good is about consistency. The E4 isn't a consistently good td, you don't have to specs to get the upper hand on a battle in game a lot of the times, and I bet on my sock that qb will agree with that.

You can go directly from T28 Prot. to the turretless line, it costs just about 70 000 XP to research T28, although I recommend researching at least T30, which is for many players better than the E4.

I still have the t30 from when it was changed from t10 US heavy, it is one of the most painful tanks to use in my garage. It's a lot like the French TDs. "Haha I have a strong gun and great frontal armor. What are you doing? Stop that. Stop aiming up. Nothing to see up there. And my hit points are gone." But unlike the French TDs the lower plate is trash. R.I.P E4. Glad I stopped at the T30. Less big obvious weak point is less big and obvious. And it doesn't have a ton of wasted armor. I'm looking at you French TD's and E4.

on Tundra, your second shot was against a tank that had about 80hp, but it was also in ramming distance. you could have waited an extra second to ram him, and you may have killed him, and would have been fully reloaded for the enemy tank that was also right in front of you on that western flank.

And that is why my Jagdpanzer E100 has a deplorable 42% win rate (it was also my first T10 vehicle). Casemate TD's are so reliant on the team actually being able to pull their weight and not allow you to be flanked or, as is the usual case, they all just die leaving you, your big gun, and your lack of a turret as the center of a several hundred ton steel gang bang.

Aaron Turner I must respectfully disagree good sir. being a rather new player (6500 games) myself, my second highest winrate, and wn8 earner for tier 10 is my Obj 263 (52% win rate). I have the Obj 430, and IS-7 which are both below 50% win rate, and my WZ-132-1 which is at 57% win rate. I say speed is a much more important determining factor for how good a tank is.

E4 was, like the Hellcat and Marder, beat down by WG for the popularity and excellent overall ability. OK ..... a nerf was in order. Let's make the E4 weaker than a T-110-E5 in frontal armor .... a US TD with weak frontal armor contrary to the whole of the entire US TD line. That's how WGs heavy hand of nerfing came down. WG never accounts for the player base figuring out the strengths of a vehicle quickly. For an earlier example .... Previous to the introduction of the T-110-E5, Tier10 US gameplay was with what is now the Tier 9 T-30 TD. It was (and still is)a slow, steady classic US tank. Tough mantle, phenomenal damage with ok penetration and accuracy. Typical US heavy theme. Hull-down fighter extraordinaire! On comes the T-110-E5. suddenly you have a comparatively nimble, tough US heavy with an accurate punchy gun that the players adjust to quickly. WG calls it OP and nerfs it (in part) by making the Commander's cupola so weak that no one targets anything but the cupola, nullifying the strength of the frontal armor almost entirely. It took near two years to make the adjustment back to something rational. No accounting of players' ability to adjust to the change of the tank was considered. Would you not think that an effective improvement over a previous tank would be easy to adjust to? One example of heavy handed I recall was the Hellcat. It was nerfed some years ago. Minimum nerf was 9% highest was 24%. Turret traverse was nerfed, reverse speed was nerfed, hull traverse was nerfed, other stats were nerfed. Minimum nerf 9% top nerf 24%. In a single update! The game play was so awful, it felt like it was constantly in marsh. I sold the tank. Did not look back until more than a year had passed. Unfortunately, my memory of it's better still lingers. It is still not what it was but has since been buffed ..................... a bit. Did it need a nerf, absolutely. On a scale of 9-24% on 5 and more different stats all at once? ...... that is insane. WG is forever heavy handed with nerfs. If you would like to see a good stat, find out how the game play of a given tanks drops after another heavy handed nerf is meted out. I would bet WG pays no attention to this if it even tracks it. It certainly pays no attention to the past history of nerfs. I cannot and no longer take WG's ability to nerf or buff anything seriously due to the above examples. Compounded with the existence of the E-25, a tank that was, and still is, OP before it was even sold to the public ... bloody foolish.

These videos are a lot of fun, are always informative, and help me understand the potential for personal improvement. But, you really ought to add a disclaimer stating that the results shown in the game play are not typical and real results will likely be less. More than 5 kills, while dashing in front of heavies in a lumbering TD versus bad guys who seemingly never pen your tank or do little damage, all while you are one-shooting everything around you... :-) Be honest, how many battles have you been splattered while using similar tactics? There are so many variables to success in WoT, especially at Tier 9/10. This example, while stimulating and fun to watch, is hardly a typical battle, even for someone with your experience and obvious skills. None the less, the overview was very helpful and appreciated.

I use the e4 like my e5 and switching flanks. 58% winrate on 300+ games, it's the type of tank i wouldn't care where MM puts me into since it's more of an all purpose tank for me but with huge DPS :D Type of tank where you really need to be the one to make the change and stop hiding. You need to lead the team tactically and supporting as well.

Ive found the t11e4 is most effective at mid-slightly long ranges, the weakpoints are not as easily hit and the gun can penetrate most tanks at range, but just don't be super far, you do have some armor

E4 was my first tier 10 tank. Just as i was about to get it, they nerfed the whole line. Its not a bad tank but against skilled players it cant do the work reliably. Better to sit back for first bit of the match and then get involved or you are marked by the skilled guys and the mediums. Short games in the E4 if you rush in at the start.

In another view, for tanks who do have a turret, E4's penetration is perfect. Yeah it has multiple downsides such as poor armor, bad dispersion regular mobility.... yet with a turret, it is much more comfortable to engage with enemies.

The T110E4 was my first T10, i hoped it was kinda like a "Hellcat" on T10, but i was rather quickly disappointed. And in these days a T110E4 is, at least for me, a freekill for any enemy. Its gets its lucky punches, but as you already mentioned, its a "hybrid". Done everything well, but nothing really special.

I'm speaking from the Xbox One experience. I loved this game for a long time, but the whole 5 maps I get to play now compared to the actual, like, 35 they have for the rotation... Among other things like completely unbalanced teams when people platoon up in 2+ arties, 183/40005's, Waffle E-100, and really ANY Tier 10 TD, and just ruin the gaming experience on both sides. And then that side either loses anyway, or smashes. I try to scout in a light tank, my team doesn't shoot when they have a clear line of sight while they're safe. I try and be a medium, and out dpm enemies, as well as try and flank around to help out me team... What do they do? Lemming-train to the base when I'm having one of the best games ever, and cap out to stop me from getting an ace tanker badge, or a new personal best. I'm a heavy, bouncing shots from enemies and keeping them targeting me... My team runs away because they're afraid to take a shot. Last tank remaining. We spend 4 minutes looking, and eventually find him cowering on a cliff. He shoots once, and kills himself. SERIOUSLY. If it weren't for ops that keep throwing out rewards for playing(free tanks), I'd probably give it up altogether. I enjoy grinding for new tanks, 3 marking favorites, etc... But when it's a "TEAM" game, and the TEAM screws you over half the time, whether it be getting 0 pens in a top tier vehicle, AFK'ing the whole battle, or bumping your tank out into the open so he can have 1 or 2 free hits. I'm a unicum/super unicum, so don't tell me to just "git gud". I make stupid mistakes from time to time just like everyone else, but jesus, what the hell is wargaming thinking? I'll tell you what they're thinking- They're not. They get money from the game, nerf good tanks to useless POS's, and buff tanks that are good enough to start with. I'm so tired of this game's constant bs, but I love it to hell and put alot of real time into it. I'm trying to keep a healthy relationship with it, but honestly I'd rather sometimes walk around my town catching pokemon. Spoofers may have all the gyms, but at least I'm getting exercise and enjoying myself.

anotherrandomtexan25 Its okay, just an average joe of a tank. its turret armor is weak, the gun is troll with accuracy sometimes, bad gun depression, low dpm, and bad ammo rack. But you got good speed and a turret with a big gun, so its a very unique tank with that feature. To sum it up- its, as ive stated before, just an average joe of a tank. there are certainly better tanks to play, but if youre almost done with the line just research it - i thoroughly enjoy mine. Got 58% wins 2 stars and almost 400 battles. Ive heard people liking it but have bad stats, certainly wouldnt be a bad first tier 10. (i could go into more detail, but i hate youtube on mobile)

I own both the E100 and the T110E4 and I just about stopped playing the E100 because it feels like a watered down E4. It seems to me like the weak points on E100 are easier to hit and the gun is about the same except the penetration sucks.

The E4 was the first T10 I bought. Had my highest damage game in it (8.4k) but the lower plate, rather bad gun handling, and the god dam ammo rack were just too bad of a combination. I much prefer the T30 at T9, as it gets the same gun and still has workable armor

Most people don t realize that you can use HE only and it's better than Type 5 Heavy standard derp gun.... it has 1100 dmg with 90pen vs 1100 with 75 pen T5H has... T110E3 and Obj268 also shares same stats as E4... and all have better dpm and gun handling than T5H

Tried both and would always take E100 over E4, just because of better armor all around and fully traversible turret. Alpha is the same, only penetration is better on E4, but all in all, E100 has better overall statistics, especially if you take into consideration that the E4 is more used as a frontline heavy tank instead of a typical TD. Tl;dr: T110E4 is basically a worse E100.

QB you should have compared it to T30 vs e4 t30 has the same mobility, better depression, better turret armor and no tumor on the top of the turret, and FULLY Gun traverse of 360 tells us why is E4 better than t30

I'm going to stress it a little more about not revealing side or rear to enemy. In my t30 yesterday with my 155 mm. I had a rear shot on a T110E3 in wot blitz. So I immediately switched to he. I did 1033 damage to the rear of that td. He didn't have a good day. I thought what jingles says. "Time for some surprise butt sex" lol.

I am confused by your crew skills - for the commander you said that brother in arms should be one of the top two or three skills, but you didn't mention that for the others. I thought BiA only worked if *ALL* crew members had it.

QB, why did you load the HE round? Were you anticipating getting a shot at the lower plate? if he didn't give you such a juicy angle, you would have been better off with either of the other two rounds, right? Sorry, I'm just trying to understand. this was at about 13:55 . Thx to anyone who can explain!

Mojo The HE shell on E4 have 90 mm of pen. And the lower plate is less on STA. Pluss the HE on E4 have 1100 alpha damage. Why not use HE. The standard and premium shell have 750 alpha damage.

+Mojo You're certainly right that you need to always consider the angle and place to shoot the HE since it won't pen spaced armour like the tracks and since HE doesn't overmatch anything a too hight angle will also lead to a non pen and thus to pretty much a dmg cut by 50% as well as the damage the armour absorbs. The thing with the STA is that upper and lower plate will have to be extremely angled to get >90mm. Realistically you won't get >82mm without overangling your side and while that is not really relevant against such calibre i guess only few players today think of the possibility of an E4 actually loading HE so that they overangle to try and get the tracks to absorb some damage and more important stop the HE from penning.

Ye, HE shell on E4 is amazing, you can do 300 dmg to every tank even if is a JP E100 and you can oneshoot most part of lights.

+Mojo Figuring out if the angle is working especially with HE is often not as tivial as the margin often is small and since you can't overmatch it is risky on larger distances as the angles can change a lot during flight time. On the other hand HE can also be damn useful against tanks like the Emil I & II and Kranvagn when they'Re hull down as you will still deal some damage to them and if you hit the turret on the lower end even around 500 with the E4 +Random Name Yeah high caliber HE shells are commonly underestimated. When an O-HO (or even KV-2) can do consitently do ~350dmg every shot against a Maus and still about 300 against a Type-5 :-X Loved to do 'fail platoons' back in the beginning with the T6 KV-2 and some T8 and end up in T10 matches and not only ending up top in XP due to the tier difference but often even in the top 3 of damage in a winning game since most T10 players at least back then were not used to fighting KV-2 and mostly ignoring it until they realized where the damage come from. Similar story on the SU-152 while with that monster you can also always go for the 700dmg instead if you don't care about credits / back then gold ^^

I got e3, and ive never been looking to get e4, but this video showed me alot of Things about it, i wished i knew i could hit the gun mantlet and pen it easily with my tanks, i always aim at the machine port in the top or the lower plate, so i think from now on. It wilk be easier to kill them 😈😈
