Asian server here. Yeah things are much much slower. People prefer to snipe and use teamates as bait for the enemy's shell. So things are much much much slower here. People do take very careful aim and is liberal with gold so you will get more cupola snipes than what would be expected.

Asian server player here too, I feel that as if everyone in this server are excellent marksman, they snipe even the slightest cupola you have with the derpiest gun possible, but the contrary in coordinated play, pushing, focus fire, decision making, and etc. Also every td and most meds here are so patient that they can spend a whole game in one spot, having 1-2 shots but those shots were received only by you 😂

Without this nerf the M109M would be a good premium tank at tier 9 but no, it's to soon to release good premiums at tier 9 (I don't mean reward tanks, they are great). I 3 marked Chieftain P. and it was painfull because of its bad gun handling and this one has similar stats in that area so I will pass

What are the reasons most of you Aussies and Kiwis down there don't play tanks? Idk if u noticed or not, asian server has a habit of not contesting important locations on a lot of maps. I watched a lot of youtubers to learn about the maps and when u play on the asian server it all goes out the window because people don't contest those early positions. You either get 0 use or u get rushed by the enemy while you're alone. Not many people contest the medium position on the cliff to shoot the middle from the side , neither do they push the dip on fjords. You'd have 5 medium on fjords and 0 of them go dip. All go north to snipe. 😂

Aussie here, between 120 to 200 ping at any given time on AISA server. The number of times I've fired and then moved my tank/turret but the game registers the movement microseconds before it registers the click is insane. Also yeah, ASIA server players seem to be scared to take any damage at all, and you will often have games where MT's and HT's will sit at the back and snipe as if they were TD's with no armour.

Well... Clown cars have 350mm of wheel armor. Don't believe me? Take out a measuring tape and you will find the wheels to be atleast 200mm wide. 200ms = 0.2sec. 0.2sec = 0.00333333min. 0.00333333min = 0,00005555.... hour. 50km/h would be 13.8889 meters per second. Or 0,01666665001666665001666665001667 meters in 200ms. So really? 0.0166 meters = 16.6 centimeters of ping. With tanks the size of barns. Almost no tank is even comparable to a truck in the game. Let alone 4door cars. Normally, ping, is given in a one way trip kind of way. The actual round trip latency is more like 400ms. At that point it starts to be really noticeable when talking about de-sync, 33.2 CM @ 50km/h. 25km/h 16.6 CM. Compare that to having a ping of 50, (100ms round trip) where even a tank going 50km/h would only be off by (unrealistic to achieve in real world) 8.3 centimeters.

I play from Australia on the APAC server, I have an ethernet connection and a fast internet plan and I happily sit at 224 ping on the dot. I used to use WIFI and I would get 360 average ping with constant red packet loss, going down to a consistent 224 ping actually makes it feel like I have 0 delay its insane the difference the packet loss made.

I was playing fairly local with CS 1.6. Not like I tracked my ping but the computer we were using as a server was within 3500 km away for most players. Like we self-regulated and didnt see intercontinental matches. (Once upon a time, players funded their own servers. Often using a dedicated computer as the host. Like A9 didn’t exist then. Plus you actually knew clan members, clan owner, who was the admin and who you had to be nice to. It wasn’t nearly as toxic cause the density of moderators was pretty high, 1 to 6 mods were playing in games of 30ish players. Or you had the phone number of a moderator and they would log on to ban whoever was trolling.)

I think this is good. In my opinion, premium tanks should offer a credit-making difference to their tech tree counterpart, while their tech tree counterpart remain an attractive competitive option, so that a wider range of players have access to it, while the premium tanks are relegated to novel, or slightly below average performers that rakes in resources instead.

In the past, I've played high ping when I was using the internet that came with my rent for over five years. It's doable with WoT. You have to anticipate your shots much like the old spotting mechanics. Everything requires more lead too. It's a sizeable debuff to overall performance.

I've played on all 3 servers, I can safely say that the Asia server doesn't have much coordination or teamwork compared to NA or EU (no matter the tier) :( Hence the slow gameplay and *ahem* gold spam *ahem* 98% of the time

Idk, but from what I saw in the review, this feels like all the premiums should be like this.Just different versions of the tech tree tanks, that might be considered as worse. But the bad thing is that doing it now, after there are so many OP tanks in the game already, is not the right step by WG. I wish they would have done that in the first place, because premiums shouldnt be a better versions of the researchable vehicles, they should be made for earning some extra credits while being good but not overpowered :(

Yeah, pings like that are pretty standard for a lot of players on the Asia server, which can lead to some pretty eclectic gameplay. I personally like using the server reticle, particularly with the mods on Aslain's modpack, as it can help mitigate some of the aiming issues you get with that kind of response time, even if it is kinda rough on the eyes at first.

Something I might try with the dispersion being so bad. Straight up dropping the gun rammer and going all in on handling, with it having great base dpm you aren't missing a whole lot and id much rather have a more reliable gun than a fast firing gun in most situations

It depends on your priority, Does it cost you a lot if the tank misses or bounces the target? If it's on something like Death Star or Sh!tbarn then it's extremely costly to the point you want to invest in accuracy and gun handling as much as possible.

This tank seems good enough as a support defensively peaking after they shoot teammates but better aim timing and lower dispersion would be advantageous for scooting around tying up loose ends like a lt or medium being a nuisance defending cross fire while the team drills through positions yeah better aiming is a must for this tank and more speed to catch back up with the team to double down on hull down targets

I play the Asian server ping is usually 120-130 from Australia but when we had an Aussie server it was 30 and a lot more fun. I do have an NA account and the ping for that is 340-380, so 200 is doable. The Asian server is crazy 2 minute games and bad teams are the norm.

To add to the ASIA server comments that I have read below, most of which I totally agree with, especially about 130 or more ping, it should be mentioned that you appear to be playing during downunders daytime, meaning our morning to mid afternoon, when the player base is usually around 4-5000 online and may not totally represent what happens in the evenings when 12 -15,000 players are online across Australia, New Zealand, and much of non Chinese Asia. That is when games can be faster, may have both more inexperienced and experienced players or those who have had a beer or three and are tanking under the influence... It's quite different, and not always very enjoyable later at night. No offence, but apart from your ping, these games may not entirely reflect the Asia gameplay. Thanks anyway for mentioning us far flung tankers !

Perhaps with the gun handling being what it is, drop the rammer and take a rotation mechanism. You are missing anyway, so the extra DPM doesn't seem to do much. Hit the shots you take rather than take more shots.

16:31 Pretty much sums up the problem I got as a new-mid player. I thought if I choose a high dpm tank , I would deal much more damage, but thats not how this game works, you almost never have such an opportunitiy to unload your rounds back to back. A random tank with mad high alpha damage cathes you and half of your health goes in a flash moment. Thats what i learn when im grinding stb-1 line. If I knew what quickybaby saying, i would go with an autoloader with high pen power. For my playstyle instead of having a gun with 250 damage and 3.4 sec reload time is not efficent as a tank with 500 damage with 10 second reload time

I'm quite confused as to why you'd improve the DPM of the tank with a gunrammer, knowing that it's dispersion values are horrible. Why not double stack on improving the dispersion while being content with decent/good DPM? The effective DPM is far worse when going gunrammer + vents

@@Rokim1983 I literally just got my hands on this tank and it has great accuracy if you set it up right, without a gunrammer I have 3354.70 DPM, see that's my entire point, this tank doesn't NEED equipment to maximize DPM, it's already great as is. Just invest in it's accuracy and it absolutely claps! No need to sit there for half an hour with QB's setup. That gunrammer & vents setup is absolutely useless if you can't hit your shots.

@@Rokim1983 Also, it's reload is literally 7,45 seconds WITHOUT gunrammer and vents. So you choose, maximize statistical DPM while trading in effective DPM, or max out it's accuracy and do over 3k damage in 1 minute? I've literally won every game so far with this setup 😂

When I was young, I made my account on the US region and play on the NA server... I live in New Zealand. I got too far in the game before I realised how ping affected my game play. 250-300 is standard for me.

Ty QB very informative vid as always. Well in my opinion the M 103 M is a stinker, as much I love the T 832 (I made 85 million credits in it during holiday ops, and what a gun....) as much I would never ever and even ever ever, get even close to the castrated version with shrunk gun, mini alpha and a bend gun. So would I grind and even worse pay for this ? LOL ! Sure not ! But I sure will collect the free goodies in the grind, and then let the girls roll out in their new Rambo light and introduce them to another free tier 9 tank called AE Phase I, don't roll up your sleeves, it will be over before you will be done ;-)

I live in Okinawa and play on NA (it's east coast), so my ping minimum is 180. Usually 200. To give you a reference of difference, My NA WR% is 50.5% ish while my APAC WR% is 53%. So, half the ping is a huge increase.

pre nerf, the m103m would have been a great side-grade/alternative to the m103 not better nor worse just different enough to enjoy the comparison to the m103.

I'm a below average player but I was able to 1 mark the M103 only because it had a good gun... Since they nurfed this gun on the 103M, I am for certain not going to do anything (dollar wise) for this tank. I'll take all of the freebees but that's it.

I live in South Africa, We don't have any servers close to us. I have never played WOT on anything lower than 180ping. You fight the ping and the enemy at the same time

One thing quicky missed was a comparison against the AE-Phase1. The AE-Phase 1 can be obtained completely for free with a standard Battle-Pass. Its Performance, according to Tomato, is better than M103 and will certainly be lot better than M103M. Only disadvantage is, its not a real premium, its a reward tank with free repair kit. But why playing a mediocre M103M for Bonds, when you could play lot better T10 tanks? Credits? WIth the high dpm, bad gun handling you will shoot a lot with bad results. With lots of games you will use the expensive heat. I doubt the M103M will be very economically.

Pakistani player here. When i signed up to play, the asian server didnt exist and EU was the closest server. I play with 100-160 ping on the regular. Doesnt seem to matter all that much tbh

I live in California but play on the EU1 server (I loathe the NA server). Minimum ping is 170s up to 200s on the regular. Probably why I’m absolutely chuffed over what would be considered less-than-acceptable gameplay by your standards. 😂
