I appreciate your video. Just a little feedback, I would maybe put the cleaning at the beginning of the video and then tightening at the end. Right after you say to check that all the screws are tight, then you say to undo everything you’ve tightened and clean it. I do understand what you mean however I am pointing it out so that other may know it is NOT sequential.

I live in an apartment with two units directly against the same wall where the head of my bed is (and there’s no other option). The vibration sound of the units seems louder in my room than standing outside next to them. I have put anti-vibration padding blocks under both units, and maintenance has cleaned and inspected the units and “there’s no issue.” I’m at my wits end. Any ideas?

I feel your pain. I just moved into a house with the unit outside the bedroom. It's so loud I haven't slept hardly at all the first 2 nights. :( If you touch the wall it's vibrating.

@@shawnamarie7414 I recently found a section of the interior wall where I could press the wall and the noise level dropped. I sank some deep nails into the studs around that area and cut the noise by 70%. It looks like there are some rigid metal tubes coming out of the exterior wall there connected to the unit that they used mortar to seal the hole in the bricks. My guess is that’s what is transferring the vibrations because the cement pad the unit sits on is not attached to the foundation. You might want to see if you can see what’s connected on your end and you as the homeowner may have options to further correct the problem. Good luck.

Any suggestions on reducing noise from a neighbors loud unit? We have a chain link fence.

A plastic privacy fence could be installed around the unit. Talk to your neighbor and see if they would be willing to do that. It would help block noise.

What about compressor noise ? My unit is brand new and buzzes so loud it’s like 85 db.

@@soundproofguide we got a two speed outside trane new and runs about 50db on low speed and about 65 on high. It's mostly runs on the 50db speed. 4ton.
