Joey, you need to run your own business. You'd be great at it. You say you liked construction? Start a little business building decks. Everyone in Florida needs a new deck. Good pay, double the cost of materials. Just do it totally under the table, cash upfront. Just an idea. You're the best. Love your videos.

Starting a small business that's not established is one of the hardest things anyone can do.I found myself being the 1st one there n the last leave if I can't afford someone to do it I had too. Living in fear of being dropped from insurance company is not a way to live. In California it's like small business is being sit up for a fall.

One of my former employees had a sign about going into business to choose his own hours, only to find he was having to work 24/7. And that’s fine for people who have found what they love & wants to die by it, but I don’t think there’s that many who are that committed or who have found something they wish to be committed to.

Quitting my job three months ago was the best decision I ever made. If you've not been conditioned into caring about materialistic bullshit like the majority of people, you quickly realize that having the time and lack of obligations is way better than money. Not only do you learn to appreciate the initial struggle and the new perspectives that it brings, but every/any step forward that you take literally alters your life positively in a permanent way as you grow as a person.

agreed I like to work and be useful/prodcutive but I get so overwhelmed at work when iget burnt out. the only job I didn't get burnt out on was a cashier job at a smalltown DG. I would've stayed 100% if I got more than 160$ a week man. I quit my last job 13/hr! strictly bc my boss ruined it for me. made me uncomfortable to come into work due to unrealistic expectations, and failing to take initiative then taking it out on employees for taking advantage. Dude has like 4 kids and cheated on his wife with an 18 y/o girl at the workplace. FUckkkk that, he said it woulda been nice to give a headsup like dude you don't deserve it.

Just wanted to say I love your videos. I'm a young man from Brazil, in my early 20s, and last year was one of the worst I've ever experienced in my whole life. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder, losing friends, losing job opportunities, and a lot of shit happened, I was scared of becoming homeless and being labeled as crazy on top of that because of my behaviour. But then I found your channel, and after I watched your videos, all that fear I was feeling went away. I started taking my medications again, doing exercise regularly, started smoking less weed and stopped drinking and smoking cigarettes. Wholesome content, you're a great storyteller. Thank you for sharing your wisdom

To my credit, I did speak my mind, got shown the door and then they had no one to do all the tedious work. meanwhile, I would just be making more at a new job after I told them my stories of how I fixed xy and z problem at the last job and I would only have to be honest.

Same reason i retired at 33 😂. I worked in a weld shop, building chasities for mobile homes. Between 32 foot floors and 76 footers. These people forced me to take certification tests and it was supposed to include a 2 dollar raise. The boss was a wanna be tom sellick telling me that they couldn't afford to pay me what they owed me and what i had earned up to that point i had pride in my work and going home to my family and that's where it all ended. They tried some government reverse psychology methods on me trying to first tell me that it was a privilege to walk through their doors and secondly they tried to play off an angle of greed and brainwashing methods that reminded me of the same thing i have fought aganst my entire lifetime of 40 years. They are perched above mankind. Harvesting energy. The idiocracy is the proof in the pudding. Its all good to try to remain vigilant and true but youre still up against something that's had thousands of years to study your every move. Your every craving. Your every choice that you've ever made before you've even seen your true reflection. These parasites cost me everything but also freed me from the slavery of money. I am still waiting in line to die but im finished asking why.

I can make $180 per day picking bottles, tax free cash in hand so F them greedy POS

Hey man, thank you for uploading these kinds of videos. They've been very uplifting and motivational to me since I found your channell. I've been going through some hardships over the past few weeks (really most of my life), and I'm still in my mid 20s so I'm working towards getting out of it, but it's hard you know? I don't know how to put it shortly and simply but things have been pretty hectic recently, not just the economy and so on, just everything. I've managed to keep my spirits up though partially thanks to you, so thank you! My mental isn't the best either and I tend to get bogged down and cough up in my own feelings fairly often, but recently I've been making conscious efforts to stop doing that and trying to move forward instead, also with the help of your videos. When things get upsetting and i start to feel anxious/depressed, I think some of the things you've said in your videos and they help me snap out of it too.

At 18 I started at goodwill, held down my first 2 jobs for like almost 2 years but i've only had 4 in total. currently unemployed, quit both my last jobs due to bs and bosses. I hated my produce job and liked my nursing home laundry job, but my boss ruined it for me. I really struggle getting overwhelmed with work. I try my best to balance work and life, but I can't make myself show up to work when I hate it there and don't enjoy myself and get hella burnt out. I try to find a job before i quit like that but this time I didn't get so lucky. Just wanna be successful and willingly show up to work even if I don't wanna be there to support me and my gf. get somewhere in life and be content. I take it one day at a time.

Those employers want to keep everybody short term so they don't have to give raises and don't have to pay insurance. Usually you have to be full time and have to be there a year before the insurance starts. And you don't get paid holidays or vacation pay if you've not been there over a year and working 40 hrs per week. These jobs do add to your character and job skills. If you need to do something for yourself or a friend in construction or what ever the job is, you know how to do it. If you want to do part time jobs for individuals who need a new deck or whatever for cash pay, you are set for it.

Well, unfortunately I kind of have maybe done a little bit of this, but being a 3rd shift factory worker kind of does invoke the digestion process upon one's soul. I've been at this for 6 or 7 years, and I'm not getting younger, I'm almost 40. Then the weekend comes around, and my mind and body are pretty roundly sacked, so I have to force myself to pick up a musical instrument to practice. Saturday I think I just laid around and hardly did anything, I just tried to stay up the whole day without sleeping, just to see the daylight in the window Breaking into the Music scene was always considered to be a hard thing to do, I'm pretty sure. There were moments where I could have taken a major risk, and went on the road with people, and got on a record deal. I was also told that guitarists are a 'dime a dozen,' and that I would need to do something more unique than just play a guitar. I play other instruments, but not as well as the guitar I like your video about trying not to see yourself as the victim, even if you seem like you are. I have done enough of that. I know I have. It doesn't seem productive. I do kind of wonder though, what my life would be like if I were wiser, at a younger age. I am grateful for all of these many podcasts I can listen to now, but this kind of a learning environment definitely was absent when I was in my 20's, for example, or it was barely there. Or it existed just in good books, if you could get them

I like ur vids but u feed a lot of fake news to ur viewers. Working doesn’t just make enough at the start. Yes maybe at the start of ur career for the first year but if you progress in ur career then you start reaching higher brackets of pay and that’s where you start being able to afford holidays, better places etc. it’s a ladder.
