I was 10 years old in 1984 and both albums mean a lot to me. My mom bought me the cassette of Metal Health on my 10th birthday. She was really cool about music cause she loved it as well. RIP Mom. Great memories.

Love them both !!! Even Still Hungry is a wicked updated version of the Stay Hungry Album, sounds fantastic 👏 👌 AJ PERO'S drumming is amazing g on that record.

Senior year in highschool and these albums were the shit. I didn't like either of them myself, but yes they were huge part of the Metal landscape. This was my Manowar and heavier stuff days. These were the first bands to get labeled poser metal, before the hair invasion. No hate from me, the girls loved this stuff so lots of dudes took their girlfriends to see Dokken Y-n-T, and Twisted Sister. Same with Quite Riot. Great times and the music of the day is still way better than what is coming out now days.

Twisted Sister all the way. Quiet Riot never resonated with me. Under the Blade and You Can't Stop Rock & Roll are two of my favorite albums from the 80s. Twisted Sister kind of jumped the shark with Stay Hungry, but it's still awesome. The TS re-record cash-grab of Still Hungry is actually really, really good. The production is heavier and the album includes a bunch of excellent bonus tracks.

Great albums, great review as always. Also I have always said this, Randy co wrote Slick Black Cadillac (credit is correct on Quiet Riot II) and that song was redone for Metal Health. Metal Health went number 1, and with that, Randy Rhoads is on a Number 1 selling album!

I like Metal health better if I had to pick. I owned them both but was getting into Mercyful Fate and early Metallica at the time so they didn't get a lot of spins on my turntable. 1.
