James has such a powerhouse of a voice. It's very refreshing to see this in this time and decade. Kevin Dubrows voice is/ was a one of a kind. I think anyone who has tried to do a cover of QR or any of their songs will agree that they are not easy. Hats off to this guy.

For sure, thanks for saying this! I was just reminiscing about that season of American idol. My 2 kids (young teens then) and I were rooting for him from the jump & I took them to the post season10 Top 12 live performance and we're blown away by his luce stage presence. Scotty McCreary had an usually developed voice for a 16yr old for sure, and I'm not dissing country music when I say this, but James had the back story, the range, the performance skills, stage presence, likeability and VOICE to become a real star. His departure from the competition was a tear jerker for all 3 of us.

I bought the One Night In Milan live CD/DVD because it was 5 bucks. It had the lineup of Frankie Banali, Chuck Wright, Alex Grossi and James Durbin. Is it the same as the Frankie Banali, Rudy Sarzo, Carlos Cavazo and Kevin DuBrow lineup? Absolutely not. But does it sound good? Absolutely. James is no longer in the band, unfortunately, and Frankie passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2020. They recruited Jizzy Pearl as their singer and former Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly to play drums. Rudy Sarzo rejoined now so there's still at least one member of the Metal Health lineup in the band but, even if there wasn't, there are guys left in the band who have history with Quiet Riot and they have just as much right as Rudy or Carlos to use the name. If people are worried about there not being an original member left in the band....well, there hasn't been one left since Kevin died.
