One thing I’ve found that makes this stuff last exponentially longer is sealing it with asphalt sealer.. most of these cold, patch bags specifically tell you not to. So of course I went ahead and did. I’ve got a couple patches that are going on 10 years old and still look like new. The other patches that I didn’t see have long since fallen apart.

Can you add some cement dust, then slather a smooth layer of rubberized epoxy shield.... let it cure then put two coats of sealer...it would be nice to get the surface smooth to prevent water from even getting into the repair

A plate compactor works wonders. I put down 40 bags of this at a movie theater for large potholes and compacted the heck out of it. Compaction is what gives you the hardness and durability. You could even lay a sheet of thick plywood over it and drive over it with a vehicle. It looks just like real Asphalt now and in perfect condition even after a winter of plowing.

Its permeable & if you use the garage the tires will flatten it out. It literally takes many months in full sun to harden. I was just trying to speed the process. Your best bet is a drain. Look at NDS channel drain at Lowes...12' is $88 + concrete saw rental. Good luck

I will be sealing it next round, thanks Fog Coating is an application of a diluted asphalt emulsion to an aged (oxidized) pavement surface. Fog Coats are a standalone low-cost pavement preservation applications used to rejuvenate asphalt surfaces, seal small cracks and inhibit raveling. Fog Coats are commonly used on older asphaltic roads and cold mix pavements. Tack Coats are a light application of diluted asphalt emulsion, however, they are not a standalone application. Tack Coats are generally applied prior to paving operations, as they are designed to create a strong adhesive bond between surfaces and prevent slippage
