I would like to point out that chapels have a workmode that makes their religious quality worse, but makes them provide healthcare. Newspapers have workmodes that can turn people into revolutionaries and other factions too. Or just make money. Also, housing may cost money but people pay rent! Unless you make housing free at least.

This comment about the chapels providing healthcare is really important if you play a longer time in the Colonial Era, since you can't build clinics yet.

Hey Quill, you may want to know but the way farms work in Tropico, you do not need to have the full number of "blocks". If I understand correctly, the farm's production is determined by multiplying the workers by efficiency. That means you can stick farms very close together, turn on multicultural and be good to go with several farms in a much smaller area. In all Tropico games, housing is a 'Top-down' solver. House the richest first, then work your way down to poorest.

You can use interferics to go up/down/across cliffs. P.S. "Ring of Water" on the Workshop is an -awesome- sandbox map; give it a look! P.S.S. I hope you revisit Banished someday. Maybe even on your own time. The modmakers at World of Banished have outdone themselves lately; they made Notre Dame!

i think its a bug the multi-culture mode, because it also stops the fertility from decreasing witch can drop the efficiency by like 30% on mono-culture

in real life multi-culture stops fertility from decreasing because you grow forb, more specifically clover or something from the fabaceae family which fixes nitrogen to the soil through a symbiotic relationship between certain type of bacteria (mostly anabaena). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anabaena when the game start the technology invented by Haber was fairly new and most of the world relied on guano (yes bird droppings) to sustain agriculture. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haber_process

Quill you should really look at changing the work mode of your teamsters, away from safe load. especially when you are having problems with goods being picked up.

Whether for profit or government run, it does the same thing. Houses criminals until the end of their sentence which is decided in a court of law. Not evil. Government interfering in the independence of the judicial system is when it becomes evil.

@James Kessler You can have private prisons with rules, regulations and oversight. Just because you are doing it wrong doesnt make the concept bad. The government still makes the laws that govern them whether private or public. And yes i know the judiciary is part of the government, but it must be allowed to run independently without politicians interfering
