+Maria Goumas You can get a universal walking foot that will fit any machine. Last time I checked (and it was several years ago) you could get one for about $20.

I'm afraid i don't understand how I would sew the backing material the front is already quilted. Would i just make squares or rectangles according to the block i just made. And would that be enough to hold the back for the quilt secure.

+Lorri Coggins Yes - the last round of quilting is through the top and the backing and I just do mine in the ditch around each block. It's the easiest kind of quilting that you can do when you're working the whole quilt through the machine. My blocks finish at 10" square and quilting around each block holds the backing in place beautifully. Is a walking foot the same as even feed foot

+Laura Jane Nelson Yes. I think they call it a walking foot when it's a separate presser foot you can change out and an even feed when it's built into the machine, but they both do the same thing.
