Congratulations to Keith! Congratulations on your new 'RV Machine". My BL Solaris 2 is wireless & if I can figure it out (I did) then I know you will, Miss IT lady! Just downloaded the free Sew Happy pattern! Can't wait to get started on it! I know a couple friends who will love getting this as a gift from me this year! Under my needle right this minute is a chairity quilt as you go quilt several members of my guild are making. Courthouse steps design, 10 regular & 10 on point using 2½" strips (mine happens to be purples), 12" finished squares, sewn together 4 rows x 5 rows. We will be putting backings on it where you turn the backing to the front & turn it over twice & stitch it on the front. EZPZ chairity quilt!

Working on a 3rd Kimberbell Boo-levard pillow for a gift. Have been retired 2 years and not bored yet! I purchased the Brother NQ3600D before the covid shut down as a class travel machine and I love it! I’m working on Broom Hilda’s Bakery by Kimberbell, a toystory quilt for a grand baby’s birthday, and now “Whimsical” Christmas ornaments by Kimberbell. I made each of them a Halloween placemat and made a small table topper that is kid Halloween on one side and grown-up Halloween (actually just fall colors) on the other. The youngest grandchild is in Pre-K and I am about to start a nap quilt for her.

I truly understand about getting board. I left my part tome job at the Christmas Tree Shops 2 years ago when I moved. I can still go visit. I do not drive so taking two buses to work and possibly being late would not be accepted. I hate winters and try to keep sewing. I miss the nice customers and seeing all the seasonal items. Loved my co-workers. Lonely here. Hardly see anyone out here in my condo. I have always been active and running places.

Becky, I’m working on yard flags this year and every month I make a new on for the next month. I design each one myself and purchase a lot of individual designs to incorporate into the flag. However I ran into a problem this month with my pe800 brother machine so I’m taking it to the sisters store in Plant City, FL (Inspire Sewing and Quilts) this week to have it repaired. Thank you for interviewing that shop, I didn’t even realize it was there. This threader broke on it and cut my hand. Also I purchased the softie bear by Designs by Juju and made a set of three for three little girls who are sisters. They turned out so cute and embroidered each one’s name on the bandana. I love watching your videos and have learned a lot from you.

I’m with you on retirement life. Dec will be a year for me. i just turned 57 and I will never say that I’m bored, there are not enough hours in the day! The table runner is beautiful!! I’m currently working on reorganizing my “Farmhouse hobby shop”. I bought myself a 21 Pro Q’nique long arm for my retirement and I’ve hard to totally rearrange my art studio and sewing room to get everything to fit. Now that I have that done I am getting my antique quilts that my husbands grandma and great grandma and myself have made along with their crocheted and embroidery works. I’ve ventured into the barn to search for treasures and was able to pull an old barn ladder and crates that his grandpa made and I’m displaying the quilts and linens on them. The farmhouse was also his grandparents and I’ve repurposed it. So I’ve been busy along with having a large garden this year and canning 54 quarts of tomatoes. I also am a huntress and whitetail deer season begins this Friday, so I’m preparing for that as well. My Daddy is my hunting partner but last year was his last year being able to hunt with me because of health issues, so it’s requiring a little more time preparing. I am hunting at his place so he can watch me through his picture window from his chair. I also do my own processing and it becomes very busy because my husband farms and this is his busy time. So I do everything myself when processing my deer. I shoot it, clean it, totally debone it, cut up steaks, grind burger and wrap it up and freeze it. So between learning my new long arm and the software that I purchased to use with it and everything else that I have going on, I don’t sit much or worry about getting bored. I Love My Retired Farm Life!!!

I'm working on summer soiree today (pat sloans qal) and bathing a couple of my dogs in between on breaks. LOL The tote was really neat. If my dogs didn't bring in so much dust, I would get it in a min. But here, I need plastic containers with lids for everything unfortunately and my rv has limited space so I just use containers and stack them (everywhere) LOL. I'm going to check into the sewing machine, but i'm kind of leaning towards the new luminaire.... and new scan and cut. Seen so much of it online lately and love how they work together. Money is my only hold back at this point. Thanks for sharing, love seeing new things and idea's and what your making.

Love the tote! Working on two projects - quilting Kimberbell’s Broomhilda Bakery on my luminaire along with working on the new Snowman tile scene from OESD on my Venture10-needle. I get bored easily which causes me to have lots of UFO’s. I need to do the same as you and set a timer as I probably would accomplish more.

It's amazing what that timer does. Keeps me focused. :)

Hi Becky nice to see you and hear from you. I Love your fall table runner. Becky come Spring I'm thinking of having a small sewing building built, What size is your sewing room

Ohh, that sounds nice! My room is 21'x21'. You're probably better to just buy one of those Morgan buildings that can be delivered. Get one with a window or two (and a nice porch to display your work!) and add a window unit AC. Or if you're going all out, I'd do one of those self-contained AC units. Mitsubishi makes one and they work marvelous (but they are pricey). The building will need to be finished out, but with today's price of wood, they actually come out less expensive in the end. Plus, you can add a gazillion electric plugs! Yay!

Wow! Congratulations on your win! That's fabulous and well deserved since it was such a ton of work. And that blazer? Good for you. I really like it. I have several of their patterns.

Hi Becky, love the new machine. I got two new (embroidery and sewing) machines this past summer. I am working on Candy Corn Quilt right now (7 out of 28) blocks are complete. Hopefully will get it finished by Halloween! Thanks for all your help and encouragement with your videos.

Hi Becky. I finished my Spooky Sampler a couple weeks ago and love it. Right now I’m working on a pink & grey log cabin for a baby gift. Love your videos💗

Becky, loved the video! I am jealous of your new machine. I would like one to take to classes since my Luminaire is jut too heavy to cart it anywhere. I have already bought the DBJJ fall table runner. Where did you get the fabric for it? I would love to know. I have cut all my fabric and batting( thank you for the cheat sheet on this). And today used the S&C to cut all the appliqué pieces, now to just sit and make them. Can’t wait till I can start it.

Hello Becky, love your chats and videos. I just received my stilleto seam ripper and it is as beautiful as ever. Watching Keith make them induced me to get one. It was hard to choose a color. Maybe I'll get another! Becky can you show us how to make the design boards?

Hey Becky made a list of things I want to embroider and it’s quite long. Will start with the birthdate banner since my gr granddaughter’s birthday is creeping upon us. Next is the fall table runner as you showed today. Love it. Have been under the weather with a cold but I’m using that as an excuse for not accomplishing anything this week. Thanks for the inspiration today. Barb from Buffalo

From Pat Sloan’s Blog about the Spooky Sampler ghost block “Pattern UPDATE: Ghost Block Step 4: Add the directions: Trim the ghost/side border section to 6 ½″ wide before you sew the 1 ½″ x 6 ½″ piece to the bottom of the block.”
