This is indeed the most beautiful, organized, cozy, dreamy creative space I have seen in a long long time. Your collections and fabrics are so well-kept and gorgeous! Wow I could hang out there every single day and never be bored - just sitting there and sipping a cup of tea even would be a treasured time!! I am planning a craft room makeover myself and your inspiring studio tour has given me such great storage ideas. Thank you for showing us your space 🙂

Thank you so much for your very kind comments! I’m so happy to have inspired you, and hope you share pictures or a video of your space. The nice thing about a makeover is that you can set it up to exactly fit your needs. I’m so excited for you! I have to say that my studio really is my happy place. I love to sit with a cup of coffee or tea, listen to music or you tube and just create. 🥰

@@willowhilldesigns7 Hi again Yes I will try my best to upload a video after the makeover. I am very keen to get back into recording videos again. My studio is divided into 2 sections - 1 for journal making and other paper crafts and the other bigger section for all kinds of linen lace and of late slow stitching. I also enjoy baskets and I love pretty boxes. Like you, when things around me are piling up and are all over the show, it inhibits my creative flow and this is the main reason I am redoing my area - I have too many things around me because, to be honest, I am a lazy crafter and by that I mean I just want to stretch out and have my favorite things but sigh, we know that is not possible 🙂 I see on your channel you do journal/paper crafting too; am I correct in assuming that you have another area where you do that kind of crafting? I find it most convenient to have such a setup. Thank you again for showing us your studio; it is beautiful and has motivated me to start what I have been putting on hold! Take care. Crafty hugs Janine 🙂

@@VintageShabbyChic Your studio sounds so interesting Janine! I agree that it nice to be able to reach out and have everything within reach. It helped me to set up areas for different interests, and keeping most used items within reach but organized and contained. My desk area is for designing/drawing and also for paper crafting, so I keep certain items there for that kind of work. I have just a few things in my sewing studio for paper crafting. I don’t have all that much, but the bulk is upstairs in my previous studio. I also have my painting supplies up there too. My embroidery floss for slow stitch is in a vintage DMC cabinet, in another room. (I showed that in one of my videos.) I find myself gathering materials up there for crafts other than sewing and then working in my sewing studio or on my kitchen island for painting. Slow stitching is done in the evenings usually, in my family room. I’ve found the places that I like to work for each interest. My main interest is quilting, so my studio revolves mostly around that, but is also set up to do a little paper crafting and make videos. Just a suggestion…when you’re redoing your space, maybe it would be possible to set it up and organize it in a way to have “areas” for those interests. Wishing you happy reorganizing time! Becca xx

Becca, your room is amazing and so very organized ....... you are amazing. I understand everything has to be in it's place for a good/productive day & project. A few things, the quilt that sits on your chair is absolutely beautiful .... it reminds me of a piece you'd see by McKenzie Child with the blacks, polka dots and bright, beautiful colors. The photo of your mom is beautiful. I keep a picture of my mom on my desk too. I adore all your little pieces you hold dear, especially items your parents gifted to you. I love the elephant bank, that is wonderful. I could go on and on about your room and items...........all so special. You work is outstanding and your grandson is going to love the Hot Wheels quilt. Both my son and I are huge Hot Wheel fans and collect them. 🎉 hugs and blessings !! xoxo

Thank you for all your kind comments, Barbie! I am def an organizer. I can’t work with chaos around me 🤷🏼♀️ My sister always asks me to come over and help her organize and decorate. My granddaughter got the organizing gene too. We’re kindred spirits! I absolutely love McKenzie Child pieces. I never thought of that connection. Maybe that subconsciously inspired my color palate. I’ve seen your Mom’s photo on your desk. Isn’t is so nice to see our precious Moms with us as we create. The things I have from my parents are such treasures! I’ve had that little bank forever, and just love it. It has a key on the bottom to open it! I love being surrounded by all my special treasures, which is one of the reasons it’s my happy place. Ohh my goodness, do you both collect them? I love them too. My son collected them when he was little and now collects them for his 3 yr old. My other grandson has a huge collection….I’m always looking for good Hot Wheels vehicles! xx & blessings!

I don’t know how you decide between what is pretty, and what is very pretty because all of it and I mean all of that is absolutely beautifully pretty! I love everything about your space. It’s not over done. There’s still plenty of room to move around and it looks like it would be amazing to shop in your own space with the way you have it set up. Nicely done! On a side note it seems to fit your style and your personality so well. Which I think is very important in a sewing space. I would say it’s right on point with your personality. Thank you for sharing it with us.
