It is amazing how rich and 'Tube' like the Quilter products really sound!

Incredible demo. I was only toying with the idea of getting one because the other demos only had people doing the typical lead line BS. you really explored the versatility of this. Now I'm for sure getting one!

Oh man thanks so much! Versatile really is the word for this lovely little amp haha. She’s gonna treat you so well, take good care of her 😁

Uhhhh maybe I can finally stop breaking my backkk schlepping my heavy tube amps around!!! Been looking for a small - ideally direct out - alternative for such a long time

The Kangra looks like a fun thing to play with! I thoroughly enjoy my fuzz factory but maybe it wants some sisters soon 👯♀️
@MistyMusicStudio3 жыл бұрын
Of course it needs sisters! At first I was hesitant about the unconventional controls on the Kangra but now I can't take it off my board lol. Sell that heavy tube amp for a bunch of sweet fuzz pedals and a better class D amp ^_^ I've been so spoiled by the DI out, it's hard to use a real guitar cab anymore. I just want to hear it through my HS8's 😅

Great video. It likes fuzz tones. Did you ever played a Simplifier ? I am wondering who can take the fuzz best, leaving grit intact
@MistyMusicStudio3 ай бұрын
@@maartenstevens9848 Thank you! never played a simplifier but the built-in limiter on the quilter does prevent additional clipping. If you’re not smashing the preamp I think either would preserve the character of fuzz!

This was the video I needed to see- thank you :) I was thinking (from other demos) it sounds great but can it take pedals? You more than answered that!

That was a great demo Nick. I too will be using fuzz, compressor, etc so it was great to see how it reacts to those. Just one question though, did you put any of the pedals in the f/x loop? What's your signal chain?
@MistyMusicStudio2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! No FX loop, everything is in front :D compression > tremolo > drive > fuzz > delay > reverbs. Definitely play with the limiter a bit, prevented clipping can totally change the character of your fuzz and time FX!

Already have a US. But based on this, I grabbed a UK to see if maybe I'll like it even better. Great video, thanks.
@MistyMusicStudio3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Man at this price it’s worth it to have the extra 3 amps and 2 cab emulations, the voices really are different. I would have ordered the USA one too but I already have a quilter 101 reverb, which has a lovey USA voice :3
@56brever3 жыл бұрын
which do you prefer?
@MistyMusicStudio3 жыл бұрын
@@56brever for myself? Definitely the UK 🇬🇧 I pretty much live on that AC30 model haha. Something about the way it takes fuzz / boost / overdrive pedals 🎶 Honestly though both versions are so versatile, you can probably sculpt the sound you’re looking for with either
@KipCount3 жыл бұрын
@@56brever I definitely preferred the US. Takes pedals better because my nature it's the cleaner amp.
@MistyMusicStudio3 жыл бұрын
@@KipCount Ah I could see that if you aren't looking for the pedals to interact with the input gain of the amp too much. I always clip my preamp to some degree, so even my cleans will dirty up when I pick hard. I think they really nailed the character of the original amps, huh?

Is this all from the line out cab sim? Or is the speaker mic'd?

All from the XLR out, I won’t be micing a cab any time soon lol

Nice playing! I just ordered a used Superblock US, and I have a few questions that I'd appreciate help with. 1. What happens if I run an 18V power supply to it? That's the highest my power block has. 2. Is it ok to run the speaker out line into a loop pedal or mixer? I currently run a Fender Super Champ into my loop pedal (or mixer if I'm with a band) and I'm planning to use the Superblock in place of my amp. Thanks so much, I really appreciate the help!
@MistyMusicStudio3 жыл бұрын
Good questions! 18v just reduces the wattage. The 24v that comes with it is perfect, truly. And NOOOO do not run the speaker out into anything but a speaker! You’ll seriously damage the looper or mixer. The XLR out is what you use for a mixer or audio interface. Run the looper before the amp instead of after 🎶
@BenPhanStudios3 жыл бұрын
@@MistyMusicStudio oh ok thanks so much! I'm kind of thinking the Interblock might be a better choice for me, since it had a balanced line out I could run to my loop pedal- I prefer to have my looper after my amp, not in the effects loop.
@MistyMusicStudio3 жыл бұрын
@@BenPhanStudios No problem! Just so you know, the FX loop comes after the preamp in the circuit. So from an engineering standpoint, your tone would be identical either way 🤷 You’ll get weird looks from sound guys running it post-amp lol They have very different voices though so go with whichever sounds best to your ears 😁

@@MistyMusicStudio awesome thanks so much for the help! Also thank you for being nice about it, it's amazing how condescending people can be lol. I know these are newbie questions, so I appreciate you taking the time to help. It's funny- I've actually been a pro gigging musician for the last 7 years, I've just always used a simple setup so I don't know much about gear. Getting into it now though, building my first pedalboard!

How Loud does it get through a cab? Loud enough for practice or small gigs?
@MistyMusicStudio3 жыл бұрын
Loud enough for large gigs 😮 It’s equivalent to 25w tube which really is loud enough to drown out a drummer with just a 1x12 cab. Then again, I don’t really play with drummers who hit hard. If the snare goes “donk” instead of “tsh” I’m leaving lol. Really though, it gets loud enough to cause major hearing damage so don’t forget to wear ear plugs 😁

Direct in doesn’t sound half bad on this, eh? Surprising, that’s usually the weak point. Thanks for the demo. Great playing.

Ah I didn’t even think anyone would want to know haha. Everything at noon, reverb off, and bass at 3 o clock 🕒 Using the AC 15 and standard cab for everything except the erupter, which likes the AC 30 + bright cab better and needs the limiter turned up to tame the input clipping 😁
