I just viewed this video to get some ideas for my next quilt. I love this and have lots of fat quarters I didn't know what to do with until now. Thank you, Eleanor, for this video. Perfect quilt design for my material.

you make it look so easy. I have never quilted before but remember my grandmother quilting. Watching you I want to start, just over whelming and don't know where to start. Little scared too.

My husband died when he was only 52 and I was 50. "Eat dessert first." has been my motto ever since.

Thank you so very much. I have physical difficulties due to MS and visual impairment. I had lost my love for sewing because times have changed since I learned in the late 60s and my trusty machine of 40 years finally gave up and died lol. My husband bought me a wonderful Janome with bells and whistles that can do everything except make me a cup of tea. However I not only have physical disabilities I just could not get traction to start again and learn new technology. Eleanor you gave me the courage to just go ahead and start stripping, I now consider myself an accomplished stripper even a quilter due entirely to your KZbin tutorials and your books. Thank you sounds so lame but it's all I can do or say. You are a special, wonderful, funny, encouraging person and I am a better person for watching you on KZbin in my little den in Australia. Have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.

Boy oh Boy...................quilting is big business right? Slick as you like (lol). Mind you, all that precut fabric certainly saves time.

When did turquoise become a Christmas color? Eleanor's quilt in the "off" Christmas colors is lovely, but I am in love with the old fashioned pine green and real red ( like Santa's suit) maybe with some pinecone prints, peppermint cane prints etc.

how many fat quarters is equivalent to a layercake?
@rosemarykriegel32265 жыл бұрын
With a fat quarter measuring 18 by 22 it would be hard to get more than 2 10'x10' squares out of it. For this quilt you would need 20 fat quarters to get one layer cake of 40 10"x10" squares as well as the jelly roll of 40 2.5" strips. Refer to the video between 4:15 and 5:40 for her cutting demonstration.
