Season 1 made me go back for d3 season 29 and I am glad I did., if season 2 had leaderboards, I probably wouldn't go back to D3 again. Season 2 is really really good, having a blast. I am level 82 and I have done maybe 5 nm dungeons. Have to get cracking on them now for the glyph leveling but at least I can just start on + tier 50 with the gear I have.

The game being to "easy" isn't a valid complaint from someone who is above average at the game. D4 has alot of issues but this isn't one of them, Diablo has always been a casual experience even past titles are in the same boat even if those games were a little bit more difficult. Path of exile exist for those hardcore gamers, it's not something that tempts many causals. I'm not saying no causals play POE I'm saying not many do compared to something like D4

Season 2 was an improvement, but it's far from great. I got to lvl 100 twice pre season, Season 1 i completed the battlepass by lvl 70ish and had no incentive to progress further, season 2 i also completed the battlepass by lvl 81 and had no incentive to progress further. Quinn complains the bosses are too easy yet does them for the first time after he’s greatly out leveled the content. Normally you get to WT4 in the early 60s and most people will have the mats to summon Varshan and grigoire well before 70. If you try those fights around the time you normally get the mats they are pretty difficult fights, for instance Varshan AOE 1 shot me sub 70. I think there should be “nightmare” difficulty for these bosses / could be tuned better, but complaining about them after our leveling them by 10 levels when you could have done them much much earlier makes no sense

For a AAA company, the talent they have/can choose from and the budget they have, how do we consistently get given games that are completely barebones? They've got so much reference to pick from, including their own previous games and they still somehow fall flat on everything. I agree with Quin on the itemisation, I feel like a lot of the "dmg% to cc" could just be one stat, have legendries with a bonus to certain cc. Feels like the entire loot/crafting systems, or lack thereof, needs a complete overhaul if people want to be even remotely interested in the loot.

I was hoping to find the great build diversity I was seeing in division but with images and other magical characters, have to say it was a let down. One of the problems with games as large as D4 is that it ends up being designed by committee. Its too much risk for a game to be a flop, so boards make the fundamental decisions about the game. I had heard Blizzard is notoriously bad for that, and that's why we typically end up with safe games that just kindof suck. Same goes for many big budget movies. If you think about most of the core features and designs of D4, its all safe and things you could convince a board of people to do. They just amalgamated together what was popular (like open world) with Blizzard's accessibility focused design and thats what we got.

I've been saying this since D4 came out and I played it for a first time - Itemization is bad and everything else is build around those garbage affixes in the pool (skill tree, paragon etc.) it needs to be completely reworked because it's SHIT and no matter what they do as content or changes "aside" of itemization, D4 will still be SHIT because of it... just with little bit of confetti sprinkled on top of the shit.... You can over time sprinkle bunch on so we can no longer directly see the SHIT, but it's still shit with confetti on it, that's a fact. I am affraid that such a change is so huge that it will never happen, unfortunately, it's so significant and would require so much time and work that I don't think they are going to even think about it. It's also risky to implement because such a rework unaviodably will break all existing builds - which is a huge step to take as well (mainly because of that I think they won't). I think they will rather keep adding more "confetti" and just leave a good itemization system (or "better" itemization) for D5, that's how huge change such a rework is and realistically I don't think so, guys.... D4 BAD and will stay BAD because of itemization

I am struggling to hit level 100, combat feels good, it looks great, runs great, but I have no real goals. But the biggest problem is time spent in town looking through items. I actually get mentally drained, I had to just salvage all a few runs because I couldn't bother reading through a full inventory just to ultimately salvage everything. My stash is almost full on my one seasonal character, and I only have max 3 copies of maxrolled aspects that don't scale with item power, some rares with good rolls and my best copy of each unique. Aspect system rework to where it doesn't take up any stash space and has progression to it, itemization+crafting and end game progression content is what I hope they will prioritize for s3.

Agreed about the itemization. I want to build my character with specific affixes but because there are so fucking many affixes, it's next to impossible to build your gear exactly how you want it. It's trash. They need to prune out some of those worthless affixes PLUS what you mentioned. "Why do blue and white items dropping" I've been wondering this since launch

There are a few things that need to happen before we can say D4 good 👍 1. Itemization needs to be reworked, keep the nerf to vuln and crit, but increase the capability and consistency of Overpower as an alternative. Remove all redundant damage buckets and simplify, eg. Keep rolls like: main stats ' all stats ' crit / crit dmg / atk speed / lucky chance to heal / lucky chance to restore x resources / increase armor / take x% reduced damage / single ele resists / resist all / max resist / increased move speed / reduced resource cost / increased resource generated / reduced resource cost..... then add an actual crafting system where I can take a Grey or blue or yellow base and slam some type of materials to produce a new item with somewhat targeted affixes (make it costly who cares its fine) keep seasonal mechanics but reduce the highest powered and most often taken powers and reduce them inline with the mid powers.. this will give us something else to do each season after we complete the main content.... add more end game pinnacle bosses, oh and rework lilith to drop something special because she's dumb at the moment 🙄

the dungeon objective are by far the worst thing about the game. There were times where i forgot to pick up some animus from a monster that was at the beginning of the dungeon, and rather than go all the way back and loot it, i just teleported out and started a new dungeon. Not only are they incredibly boring but they are also terribly designed. Why do you need to kill every single enemy? Why not just kill 90% of enemies? Why do is there only exactly enough animus to open the next area and not more monsters that drop animus incase you missed one? They can just implement a simple crafting mechanics in D4. Just like crafting elixirs, etc. Normal Item + Crafting Material (ex. Iron Ore) + Gold = Magic Item + Armour Affix - Item Power 2 Affix Magic Item + Crafting Material (ex. Gallowvine) + Gold = Rare Item + 2 Affix + Additional Healing Received - Item Power Item with affix + Crafting Materials + Gold = Reroll the affix of an item that matched the affix given by the materials This will solve the following issues: - The immersion they want will improve, people will start picking up materials again in the open world when doing open world stuffs. A small part of it is still a part of it. - Remove the' "Big Number Good" BS and have people actually start caring about their equipment and not some green arrow. The green arrow is for casual, you already have that. Good affix are for actual players, you don't have that, yet. - You can bring back the old features you have with item rarity - Magic have higher affixes but only 2, Rares can have 5 affixes, Legendary have 4 affixes and an Aspect. Hopefully, Normal Item drops higher base stat roll like base DPS, Luck Hit for Wands, OverPower Damage for Two-Handed Mace, etc. Crafting will come with a cost since lower rarity can have huge default rolls but every affix crafted lowers Item Power so you can't have 925 Item Power that's purely crafted. - Drops will matter, again. - People would stay in game more to perfect their items and actually enjoy it rather than aimlessly kill mobs hoping to find a good gear. - Upgrades the game to 'D4 not that Bad'

You guys are sleeping on Undecember Origin. Over 100 hours in 1 week since I started and haven't needed or wanted to spend a penny. Currently doing tier 4 maps and haven't been hit with a single wall or store ad yet. Level 80 and still getting crazy upgrades and loot. The amount of endgame is insane for only being season 2. (Rootkit Anti-cheat is the same/similar thats used in Valorant, PUBG, and a few other popular games you have proabably already played.) I have 600h in poe, 500h in LE, 400h in Grim Dawn and I cannot believe what I have been able to play completely free in Undecember.

Most of the Legendary Aspects are just skill modifieres. They schould add slots to the skills, where you can put them. Also the Paragon board schould be rework. The Legendary Nodes and the glyphs needs some cool Modifiers.

Good takes Quin! I agree with almost every point. Regarding the Uber endgame bosses: I saw your stream when you were fighting the bosses. Most of the time you were quite a few levels above the Boss lvl which is fine and I agree that they are too easy most of the time. I did the bosses while being about 10-15 lvls below them and had a great time fighting them experiencing all the mechanics and having an intense fight. Now once I got to the same lvl as the boss itself it became trivial as well. Imo they should have a way to juice up the Bosses with different Tiers like they have with NM dungeons so you can scale up the boss to a lvl you want to fight. Regarding the point where you have a few uber uniques and don't know what to use them against: I agree they become useless once you aquire them. I would love to see an infinitely scaled mechanic like Delve where you can test your build & gear. Overall good video tho chur bro

Yes, i like your idea as long as they dont nerf the boss drops at base difficulty. Cause not everybody is named Quin nor is everybody playing season.

s2 was the first time Blizzard got some stuff right for D4. I actually like s2 till now. but im only levl 35, but more motivation than s1.

Totally agree. *Itemization was, is and will be the worst thing of D4!* Why I say so: Because they won't be able to fix it in the near and even far future. They would need to completely trash the itemization and make it new with much less affixes to fix that. They will never do that. Maybe in a costly expansion, but I don't even believe that.

To fix the aspects, they could have it where it saves your highest extracted power to the codex. Instead of needing multiple copies that save as inventory items, they could simply be in the codex. And if Blizzard wants to make us work, they could make it so you have to complete the corresponding dungeon in order for you to save aspect upgrades in the dungeon.

"it saves your highest extracted power to the codex" In my opinion is a bit much. Make the Codex system work as a aspect power storage that is better organized. Make Legendary powers store in infinite storage container. Make the legendary aspects upgradable by combining them. There is no point in removing the crafting resources, gathering element in the game. Furthermore add an ability to easily sell aspects for good gold when you get too many of them.

Actual good points Quin is making in terms of itemization. I also think D4 is way better now than S1 and launch but it still has a long way to go and I think for people who want a bigger challenge/dopamine kicks in the game it still remains D4 bad.

its kinda funny that working resists and a little speed on horse are the only two positive things lol that its even released without working resists for the price is redicules too.

It may have been useless 90% of the time, but I enjoyed blacksmithing gear in D3 and would love if they brought that back with more depth.
