Other Latin countries I guess liked it and adopted it but it's not from anywhere else but Mexico. It's fine they like it and they can celebrate it but they don't seem to understand it's Mexican. I find it odd that when we talk about our tradition, we are told to "adapt" to speak in a way we include the other countries as to not "offend" when in fact its OUR culture and the other countries should be the ones to understand its a Mexican tradition and they should look in a way "oh we do Quinceañera's too but I understand it's not from my country which is why when Mexicans talk about it they only bring up Mexico/Mexican things" instead of policing us how to speak about it and get MAD at US when we do talk about it lol.... its weird and rude
