Criticisms without context are some of the most absurd things we can do. We have NO idea how Hudson-Smith was feeling. Many athletes often skip the presser because they are completely famish or ill. Looks like MHS decided it was important to be there, but also desperately needed food... how can we criticize that? As it relates to him infusing profanity. It was actually EXTREMELY revealing within the context of how it was said. It completely shed light on the fact that MHS and Kirani James in particular ran the 1st 200M of the final at a blistering pace, because they had hoped their competitors would follow suit, or be intimidated by the pace. It definitely crushed the spirit of the prohibitive favorite, Michael Norman, but they didn't count on Quincy to be so mentally strong on the BIGGEST stage in T&F. Kudos to ALL the athletes and it was certainly not the mundane, ho-hum presser we typically see.
