My mom had a VHS tape of this show. I remember her telling me that it was said that Al B Sure wanted to lip sync his parts. The other guys got upset because it was a live show. When they first came out to sing Al B Sure didn't open his mouth and he had the first verse! So they had to take a commercial break. When they came back, Berry White was laughing and said let's try this again. If you notice the ending, James Ingram, El Debarge and Barry White killed their parts while Al B basically just stood there looking crazy. I heard that Barry White went off on Al B Sure backstage after the performance. I don't know if that part is true or not. Great performance though!

That audience was having the time of their lives. I watched this from home on TV and it absolutely blew me away back then and still to this day. James was holding it down. El was singing his face off throughout, and the roar when Barry first came out was crazy. I think Al B was just in awe being in the presence of such greats but his verse was fire as well.
