@movario5 жыл бұрын
Thats why I`d prefer that they make way in the middle of the road. The cars on the right go to the right, the cars on the left to the left. And if you`re having more than 2 lanes, then only the cars on the most left lane go to the left, all the rest to the right. That way you don`t have to deal with small shoulder lanes, or shoulder lanes full of debris.

0:28 Every time I hear this siren I get chills, it isn't really used much, if at all (at least not where I live). The reason it gives me chills is because the one time I do remember it being used was on 9/11. Such an eerie thing to hear to go with that day. Every time I hear it I think of that.

The Smart Siren stopped working so this siren was put in as a temporary siren till it gets fixed. What might end up happening is that the Smart Siren will be fixed and the Powercall will run with it. The original plan for the POV a while back was run dual sirens. We were going to run a Unitrol 80K and original RLS siren. When the RLS stopped working, we replaced it with the Federal Signal Smart Siren.

@jimdevilbiss91254 жыл бұрын
We used to have a four-lane divided highway two each way that went through what we called them the Golden mile meeting most of the shopping was there and on Friday night it was parked. We had a call I was driving there was no where to go the cars couldn’t move out of the way and there was no side road I had to wait my officer laid on the siren but we were like 10 cars back from the traffic light. He certainly was very hard on the other drivers and on me. Truly a bad situation and there was no other road I could’ve taken. I could go when the traffic light changed the cars moved out of the way and we were off.

I can’t use a siren either, so I use caution while watching other drivers, I have to come through 2 major intersections and the high school while responding. The saying goes “arrive alive.” So drive defensively.
@znovosad5555 жыл бұрын
Drive with due regard like you would any other emergency vehicle. Even with just lights, drive within reason and within the law. Make good judgement when people move over and just be aware before pulling out. Make sure all drivers around you acknowledge the lights.
