lolol, that surprised me too. I've seen it happen 3 times in a row once. Not me, someone else's video (kinda like this). I'm sure people have encountered it happening 5x or 6x times, given how many people have these games and how many times they've been played over the years [since those mechanics have been implemented]. ----- did the math: 3x is a little less than 1% likely, while 4x is 0.16% likely. 5x in a row is 1/3125, 6x 1/15625. Surprisingly, the odds don't reach 1: a million until 9 times in a row! So unless there is a limit to how many times it can happen in a row, and there is NOT a limit on how bad people are at pokemon (because if you win, the battle ends and the streak cannot continue), it seems quite likely that 9x, 10x, and potentially even higher streaks have been achieved 🤗!

I'm pretty sure Clear Smog only removes the target's stat changes, not your own (or another pokemon's in a double battle). Because the opposing leads tend to be so awful, I would have allowed swapping in a useless pokemon for a turn to let Ditto re-transform.

Fun video! However I genuinely think it would have been better had you gone with a team of 3 all the way through. You wouldn't have been able to have as clickbaity of a title, but in exchange: - would've been able to strategize with who you swap in when, "storing" forms for later use, which is tactically interesting. - Would've been able to genuinely stick with the set constraints the whole way through instead of having to carve out exceptions for double battles and camps - Would've been able to overlevel Way less, making for more interesting battles and less grinding - Would've been less RNG dependent - Potentially would've been able to avoid relying on in-battle items Either way, congrats on completing your challenge in the way you wanted to. I doubt you'd circle back and do it differently, just throwing it out there.

I think you must of not meant storing forms as you cannot store forms with ditto. When ditto is switched out it reverts back to its original form. I also would think it might not be that hard of a challenge. Makes it where you don't need to worry about pp hardly at all. And also given access to much stronger pokemon. So I think it would have made there no need to find cool solutions like the held items. I also agree that it feels like he picked the rules based on the situation and the answer to the title is, no you cannot beat pokemon violet with a single ditto.

Yeah this person is almost certainly using a hacked switch or emulated version of the game, noticed when he made use of the tera shard feature. No way is he going and doing 15-20 tera raids between each gym fight to get the 50 shards to change his tera that often, especially when you consider how long it takes to find that many raids of the same tera type, let alone the time spent actually completing the raids. And also the Level 1 shiny Ditto which can only exist in Pokemon Go and can't be transferred into the latest games yet so it's a hacked/genned 'mon. Not that it changes anything in the end, but something I definitely noticed.

Surprised you went with an Imposter Ditto, as the usual Ditto-only strat is to Struggle through early opponents, and that's not possible if you auto-transform on start. By the time you reach the midgame where Struggle strats fall off, you can buy Ability Tags to swap around to whichever ability is more convenient
