They are quite tasty! If you can't find the arepa flour you can use very fine corn grits or polenta (if can't find fine use a blender at home) and add about 1-2 cups of cooked quinoa, is to taste :)

Came straight from FB only to realise I have already been a fan of yours since I discovered your vegan cheese and tomato twist recipe a couple of days ago. Can't wait to try both and to watch you grow as a new KZbinr. One piece of advice if you don't mind. Most people watch with head phones and the sudden loud music could be harmful to them. Maybe turn the music down a little bit so it isn't a shock to those using head phones. But now I'm drooling so back to learning this amazing recipe...*sits quietly drooling in the kitchen"

Will Masa Harina work?
@AlisonGala3 жыл бұрын
Nope that's raw, you will make a similar Mexican cousin of it called gorditas but the texture is quite different. If you can't find corn grits or polenta and have to use masa harina I would not add the quinoa. Then you have to add the water little by little and mix very well, it will become more like a bread though it will be a little less manageable but you can make the same disc's. So it's a similar thing but not what they do in Colombia more like what they do in mexico and adding the quinoa won't be a good choice it will make them break. They are as delicious though, same water ratio! The dough should be like play-doh if it's too dry then add more water spoon by spoon

It's how it's called 😂 they sell it at most supermarkets in the international food aisle. Known as Harina PAN 😋

Looks amazing! When you say precooked corn flour, how do you mean? I would love to make these!
@AlisonGala3 жыл бұрын
Nope! They sell it, they say raw cornmeal or flour and pre-cooked you know the one that you just add water and it's ready to eat? That one. The special one for Arepas it's widely available at most supermarkets in the international food aisle is called if you want to Google it for the picture "harina PAN for Arepas" 😋

The vid was very awesome! I've been trying to look for a vid that really teaches the topics in this video! 🥼 🩺Your video really is similar to the vids of this new med student Doctor Ethan! Dr's demonstrations are knowledgable and I learned a lot for my practice! He is the most knowledgable Dr in Nottingham and he talks about health symptoms and vitamins.
