I loved this format. You should do a video like this with most of your modules, just jamming and exploring possibilities. I´ve done a lot of conections and ideas while you explained your mind patching. Cool flow man

Thanks! Yeah, I think a lot of my demos should follow this basic idea in the future :)

Thanks! I'm a sucker for Slopes, someday I shall own them all, muahahahaha ;)

You have explained the possibilities of the module very well. I'm a big fan of Maths2 in theory (in theory because I don't own it yet, as I always try to do a good research before a possible purchase), but at the moment I'm not sure if two of the Contour1 modules aren't in are many more in some ways due to the V/Oct capability (although Maths2 also has some logic, damping and mixing). Great video! I think I need to check your channel a little more closely.

great vid , ive had this module a while now , and ive not used it as an oscillator or a wave shaper ,, of an lfo , as I have other things that do those jobs really well , but the wave shaper im gonna try that and using mod on the bends was great .. must try to patch everything into everything in the future , great demo as always ..

Thanks! Yeah have fun plugging everything into everything, it's what modular is all about!

Great video as always! Do you know if the C1 will be available for DIY? Haven't been able to find anything suggesting that, but been keeping my hopes up since the Test 3 is available as a kit at Thonk. Thanks a lot and keep it up!
@QuincasMoreira5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! No, Test 3 is the only semi-DIY offering from Joranalogue. All other modules are factory only. There are a few good options for DIY Slopes though, have a look at the Random Source DUSG, which is an improvement on the original with Serge's blessing!
@gabrielosoriomontelius5 жыл бұрын
@@QuincasMoreira Thanks for the reply! Definitely, I was pretty sold on the DUSG itself before seeing DivKid's video on the Contour. The DUSG is a beautiful piece of hardware and synth history, but it's a bit expensive (both in price and in HP). The Rampage is also a good candidate. Either way, thanks again for the reply and keep up the great vids!

Hi Great Videos by the way I’m curious to what is the advantage of having The Rise Output Trigger during the rise portion of the slop Usually it’s at the end of the Rise portion Other then being able to trigger an other envelope at the same time I don’t understand it’s purpose All The Best
@QuincasMoreira Жыл бұрын
there are many possible uses. such as converting a trigger to a gate, or a gate to a trigger, use it to advance a sequencer, square wave oscillator output in audio rate, etc....

Hello Quincas! Hope you doing well!... I'm currently hesitating between getting Maths or Contour 1 and, in my research, i've found you and this really cool video! If you have the time, i have a simple question for you to help me take a decision. Except the mixing possibilities of the Maths, can we do most of the same functions with Contour 1? I'm pretty new to modular so, excuse my rookiness ; )... I have a 84hp setup with the Lifeforms SV-1b and the Primary Oscillator from Pittsburgh Modular and i'll like a bit more flexibility. I'm using it to produce tracks in Ableton... Thanks for your time!... And if anyone in that chat can help, would be great to ear you!.. All the best! Jean-Félix
@QuincasMoreira3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jean-Félix, sorry for the late reply. Contour 1 is in my opinion a better SLope generator than Maths, since it can be tuned to 1v/oct and you have CV control over the slope curves. But it is only one, where Maths is dual. SO to get a super pimped Maths, you would need TWO Contour 1, and the Joranalogue Select 2 can do mixing, attenuation and offset same as Maths, and some other stuff two. So , two Contour1 and One Select 2! Cheers Q

@@QuincasMoreira Cool, thanks for your reply! So i'm on the good way.... I already bought one Countour 1... pretty satisfied! I'll check for the Select 2... Thanks again! Have a nice day!
