Funny...I started moving it the way the video said...but the finger thing with the hand laying on the table was no problem and I thought it was something to do with playing guitars for so long...although I'd imagine a classical guitar player can do it much easier and further because of the years of finger independence exercises they've done.

Amazing demos. The only one I knew was called "Two hymns and a song." Once lit the match was referred to as 'Lead kindly light" (Hymn 1). When the match resting on the coin lifted up it was referred to as 'Horsy put your tail up' (Song) and the then the coin was picked up, put into a pocket while saying 'Abide with me' (Hymn 2).

@kourtnifakelastname2659

The reason why most people can't move that finger is because there is a muscle connecting the middle and ring finger, which limits its motions when you try moving one and not the other. It's like trying to wiggle only one of your small toes. The Lyra Vincent person might not have the same muscles there as other people, like how some people are double jointed and others aren't. :)

Lyra is right, I'm a classical guitarist & I can totally move my finger too. It has nowhere near as much freedom as the other fingers (obviously) but you can lift it off the table a few millimetres no problem. It's easier with the left hand - guitarists always have certain fingers planted on the left hand while others are moving around.

Tip for your matchstick trick. Balance the stick on a rim of a cup instead of your finger and lite the excess over the mouth of the cup on fire. It will burn till the rim and stop and the contraption stays balanced and looks even weirder.
