this video seems to have recently surfaced to some new viewers again so...SPOILER ALERT. This video happened what? 2 years ago? Well, when I said I'll be doing KZbin "full time" I wasn't doing ONLY KZbin lol I drove for Uber and Lyft, made good money believe it or not. Then as time went on, I just missed home...I moved back home! (Good decision at first, BAD decision in the long run) you live and you learn ya know? My channel has been hit very hard by the KZbin algorithm change and ad situation (a lot of youtubers have) but I do work another full time job and still manage to post videos weekly. Still on this KZbin journey no matter what happens, hopefully if you're new here and reading this, you'd care to subscribe and watch my newest videos? if not, I understand. So many other channels out there to watch nowadays - anyway, thank you for stopping by! P.S quitting BestBuy was and still is the best decision I've made since posting this video. I do miss the discount tho 😂

FYI, I did NOT pay KZbin ANYTHING for this video to be in your recommendations. That's just what happened, this video is 6 months old, if I was gonna pay KZbin I would've done it 6 months ago lol Also I'm getting quite a bit of hate off this, that's fine. After I quit the GM called me and BEGGED me come back for an increase of hourly pay. I politely turned them down so I can focus on other things. I'm doing well if you're wondering! Quitting that job was the best decision I've made despite me being nervous about the risk I was taking, but nothing good comes from living inside your comfort zone - remember that. Just wanted to set the record straight somewhat, thank you for watching and have a great morning/evening/night!

+Brandon Kwon She agreed, but that doesn't mean anything and I doubt she learned anything from that experience. At the end of the day these companies see their employees as a number and not a person and they couldn't care less about their employees, which is absolutely ridiculous because the employees make the business and if the employee is feeling down or unappreciated then the business as whole will suffer. How many chained business are closing each day? Why? It's because no one gives a fuck about the employees and they try to run these huge stores on a skeleton crew who are under payed, under appreciated and even under aged, which ultimately is going to bankrupt them, but hey when the profits are low just slash more hours because that will fix everything.

@junkiexl867 жыл бұрын
Sure. make a whole dollar or two more an hour, awesome if that's your life goal. It's a retail job, not a professional career. Retail jobs are dime a dozen and fine for those still in school or for people who settle for whatever and don't strive to better themselves. You also don't have spend years making shit wages in an attempt to move your way up into upper management which is almost impossible without a college degree regardless of years there. Those floor managers don't make good money. The money in retail is at the top You can go to school for 4 years, major in business management, or get a CPA, MBA etc and land a district/regional/corporate management career role. The point is, of course management doesn't care he quit. Again, it's a retail job. Easy to hire low skill, low requirement position. They can have the position filled by the end of the day and customers will always be there. Number and volume of sales are irrelevant because when most people go to places like Best Buy etc. they are already there to get something they came to buy or plan to buy.

Well done, you shouldnt do something you despise for 8 hours a day. Alot of people do it out of fear of failure, insecurity or just lazyness which is all understandable.. just get the regular job at the factory.. years go by. suddenly you are old and you realize you never did the things you dreamt of. Divine first of all there is this thing called taxes. That $1040 can turn into $840 real quick depending where you live. Where I’m from (NY), you wouldn’t even be able to find a studio apartment for $1200, I’d expect Cali to be no different. Second of all he has other expenses like food, electric, water, a car, toilet paper, sh*t ain’t free. I worked at Best Buy you can’t afford to live by yourself making $13 unless you live in a state like Georgia or Kentucky where the price of life is cheap.

I just quit my job today & THIS right here gave me hope!!! My boss was almost 50 years old and I’m 20 and worked circles around her. Had an employee who no call no showed 5 times within two weeks and is still somehow employed. So today when she had the nerve to say “I’m a lost cause” I threw my name tag down and told her good luck finding someone to do your job and everyone else’s. ☺️

You know your not required by law to sit down and explain all the reasons your quitting. Just find the manager, look them dead in the eye and say "I quit, effective immediately . . . bye." Then leave. P.S. Get all of your personal items out of the business before you do this. Avoid that awkward perp walk the so love to do.
@gremlinsbreath8 жыл бұрын
I never reference my managers. I will only give a reference of someone I have worked with directly. A co-worker or a direct supervisor. I guess my situation isn't typical. I work 5 to 7 years on average at any given job. In that time I can usually find one or two people who won't stab me in the back out of spite.

It may not be required, but it's still professional to give a Two Weeks Notice. Because if God forbid something happens and the only job available is the one you're quitting right now, you won't burn bridges down by just up and walking away. Also, most job applications now require you to right down the name of a manager, and your possible new employer will contact your old one. If you up and walk away like you say here, it'll reflect badly on you, because no one will want to hire someone who just flat out leaves whenever they want to quit.

@MZLOVLEA16 жыл бұрын
I am in retail... I’m a manager... they should have communicated to u rather than taking u off the schedule w out no regard to your finances. However, there is more to being a sales associate than just selling. There is still work that needs to get done outside of taking care of customers. Sometimes people forget that and when they aren’t helping a customer, they use that time to play on their phone, goof off, socialize, take extended breaks...I could go on and on but you get the idea. Maybe having a wife and a couple kids, quitting your $100K+/year job, cashing out all your investments and putting all the money into a new venture/business. That would be a big choice and a big risk. There is nothing risky about what he is doing. He can go to Target tomorrow and be is the same position he was in before he quit Best Buy.

Nina Edwards Absolutely not true. Depends on the industry you in. Some industries will cut all the individuals in a whole department's hours including both good and mediocre employees. Of course I didn't include bad employees because if they were bad, they'd already be out the door. Mediocre ones are good just enough to get the job done and nothing extra like the good employees would do. Hospitality industry has a tendency to cut hours based off the slowest department instead of an individual employee. So 10-20 people can get their hours cut all at the same time. I worked in hotels for 9 years and it sucks. Going back to college at age 30 but I'm still young. I got about 30-40 more years to work anyways if I live that long.

Dude, I was about your age when I lived in SoCal. I was working for a place where they built the space shuttle. Damn good job as far as money goes but the corporate bullshit that you had to put up with was unbearable. I remember the day I quit. It felt like a weight was lifted off of me. Things were going to get a lot harder because of the cost of living (this was back in the 80's), but the peace of mind was going to make up for it. I took a couple of shitty jobs before I said fuck it and moved back home. Fast forward 30 years. Went back to college and got my degree, worked for Motorola for a few years and then started my own business. Haven't looked back since. Money is no longer an issue and I can pick and choose my customers. You are young and got a whole lotta living to do. No job is worth your happiness or health. If you don't have a degree, go to a trade school and get one. You don't need the debt of a 4-year college hanging over your head. You will never make money like the money you will make when you work for yourself. I have no need for employees so that headache is completely avoided. Just me, depending on myself and I can work from home in my smoking jacket if I want to. Go get your happiness on man. Go get it.

I was told that anyone who has a problem at a Walmart as a customer or as an employee you can report it to the Work Place Ethics group. You can find your local ethics group by doing a google search under "Walmart Ethics" so any bad moments or complaints can be sent to the Ethics group and that report goes to the Walmart Home Office.
