Not necessarily. Open shops and the like are noisy and sometimes personal things are talked about with the boss. All kinds of reasons the door gets closed. All sorts of confidential things can get discussed. This is especially true with small businesses when you're not just talking with the boss but the owner. All my meetings with my boss (business owner) are closed door because I'm upper management and we discuss a LOT of confidential things.

I went with him to the supplier, walked into their workshop, put the biggest bastard on the ground, my foot on his throat then told his colleagues to load the materials on my bosses ute which they then did with great motivation and politeness. Then the next day I get sacked because I made a subordinate cry when I slapped a cigarette out of his mouth which he was smoking during the Remembrance Day minute of silence. I told him to get rid of the cigarette, but he decided to look me in the eye while smirking and shrugging his shoulders instead, so I slapped it out of his mouth sending that and his glasses flying. After the minute's silence was over, I immediately began turfing all his tools one by one over the site hoarding into the street and told him to get the fuck off my building site until he learned some respect for the fallen. He then sat in his car parked up the street for several hours crying until the boss arrived. That night after work I was told by the boss that I was 'too aggressive' and that we needed to part ways. Go figure hahaha
