John Richards played "You're Not Always On My Mind" this morning and it simply blew me away. It is what a great rock tune should be...Thank you Quivers and John Richards for making 14 months of Covid 19 fade into the gray for me.

What a delight. Daughter Haley Heynderickx is playing with Quivers Tuesday night in Melbourne. I saw a poster with both their names so I hopped on KZbin and up pops this great video. Considering Haley's invite from DJ Sharlese in 2017 to appear on KEXP and how that appearance opened many more doors for her I am thrilled she will get to meet Sam, Holly, Bella, and Michael. Hoping she has time to become friends, their music is wonderful.

Hey Nickolas, thanks for the kind words! We had such a nice gig with Haley - I've loved her songs since an NPR Tiny Desk Concert video a while back! It was a thrill to play the same show, and also so great to hear her sing Jackson C. Frank's "The Blues Run The Game". Timeless!

Song's so good, I heard it once and then spent the next hour tracking it all over the interwebs and of course if you got it here, I'm comin' to check it TF out. used to listen to JitM every morning, I really need to stream your show more often, man. best music. Best. Clobbered by this, seriously.

I wanted to hate this band because they're dressed like Mac DeMarco. But they're just way too good. Turns out I like them.
