It will be good to see your posts on a more regular basis. I wish you'd get back to taking on new editorial clients. Though, in someway, I'm not a new client. :-)

Nope. I'm not at all surprised. Good questions, excellent answers! I haven't really gotten into podcasts, I like the video element via KZbin. Still, you made this very entertaining. Smart text delivered in a very interesting and pleasing way. Very Well Done!

This is awesome! Always love to see new content from you. I'm really excited to start working on some flash fiction, so I'm happy to hear you mention it. You make me want to dust off Windseer and trying to fix it 😂

Yay! A quotidian! I never miss one! Question to the Q herself or the rest of the Quoters here: how do i write with more limited time? I'm a musician whose day is spend in editing sheet music and whose night is mostly spent in commissions. (I'm published by several houses). I'd absolutely love to take a few of my novels farther but lack quality / consistent CPs. What would y'all do?

Your jobs sound so interesting! I face similar problems when it comes to finding the time and energy to write. What's worked for me (usually for about a month before something interrupts my routine) is waking up slightly earlier than normal specifically to write. Reserving even just twenty minutes for that purpose makes me feel so much better about my progress and creates momentum. You could start by doing that once or twice per week; it's easier to write for twenty minutes every Monday morning rather than trying to write for an hour every single day. You can build up that daily time or frequency month by month, going to hour-long sessions twice a week and so on. I also think having a writing group who meets regularly or an accountability partner helps a ton. I meet with a friend every Sunday morning to discuss our writing projects and weekly goals, which means my writing projects stay top of mind. Keep writing! :)

Oh, wow! Thanks for saying these words. And, of course, it's great advice. I am so wanting to get back into writing. I love that you always say keep writing. Gives me chills every time.

@@QuotidianWriterI am a big fan of your content. Please keep doing it. I just saw your video about show don't tell, it was very good. I have a question does the things you explained in the video also works in the case of writing a screenplay or is it only for the case of novel/books??
@QuotidianWriter
@QuotidianWriter Ай бұрын
@@THWPLAY It definitely applies to screenplays as well, although the "showing" part is more about what can be implied through dialogue and scene rather than description and internal thought, of course. I recommend "Story" by Robert McKee for a screenwriting perspective!

Thanks for the podcast! I love this medium, as we can focus more on the conversation element of the post, and less on the images. Thanks for your honesty about your process and challenges too. I'm more of a pantser and also find it more productive to write in the flow without constraint and enjoy cutting and condensing afterward. My novel began at 80k words and is now at 55k. A lot of work, but satstying
