The word you're looking for is ablution which is the wudhu. Performing the ghusl, the bath or shower is to remove major impurities. So you would take wudhu to rid of minor impurities like after going to the toilet or breaking wind etc. A ghusl is performed after the state of post-menses, after sexual activity or any other major impurity. A ghusl can be performed regardless if one wishes to do so especially on a Friday. Hope this helps sister and may Allah the exalted guide you to Islam, our beautiful faith and the true faith. Ameen

At the end of the 1st verse, it says “He is the Almighty, the All Wise.” And at the end of the last verse, it also says “He is the Almighty, the All Wise.” Subhanallah. Another thing I would like to add is that this surah has the most Names of Allah in single verses. I agree with you that it is really important to think more about the Names of Allah. As Muslims, we should always be studying Allahs Names to get a better idea of his description and who He is. It also brings us closer to Him and helps us appreciate Him. I think that is one reason why Allahs Names are mentioned so much in the Quran, especially at the end of this surah. Lastly, while I was reflecting on the Mountain verse, I thought that if such a strong mountain can be crushed and humbled with the Words of Allah, then surely our hearts can be softened and humbled as well. Just my thoughts and keep it up Milahan!

The latter half of the 114 chapters are shorter and have shorter verses. Most of them were revealed in Makkah and mostly deal with the Oneness of God, the Resurrection, Judgment, Paradise, Hellfire, etc., and less about legal matters. And these chapters sound melodious and beautiful even to someone who doesn't know Arabic. Memorization is also easier. You should check out the recitation of this chapter, especially the final verses, which are recited frequently in prayer.
@amaralmohamedi93234 жыл бұрын
Sure. Ultimately we're reflecting on his names and attributes in an attempt to exemplify or embody some of which ourselves. Notice- the shorter the chapter, the more ideas and/or knowledge it contains. Similar to e-memories; the smaller it gets, the more info it could save. The shortest chapter, which you're approaching, is named koather, which is an exaggerating word for 'many' Salam

ALLAAH most HIGH makes mention in the Quran that none shall approach the Quran except those who are clean. There are two meanings here. One is internal purity of the heart . One who has a pure heart easily grasps the neaning and has a feeling of ectasy and love while reciting the Quran. The second is outward purity of the physical body. Both will be considered important and Wudu(ablution) for a muslim would be necessary before approching the Quran. Wudu or Ghusl would not be necessary for a non muslim reading the Quran. May ALLAAH swt accept it from you anyway. May ALLAAH be pleased with your sincere effort and illuminate your hear with the light of guidance in sha Allaah. Aameen.

Salam, I am a Muslim theologian, just wanted to answer you call for comments - The Names and Attributes of God are on of the most significant and important parts of Islam. It is also the most developed of any other religion, in terms of the sheer quantity and diversity of descriptions and titles that are given to God. The reason for their significance are two fold - 1) To fall in love and be in awe of God, and 2) To strive to reflect His Qualities onto this earth - and that is the true meaning of a ‘Muslim’ (linguistically - One who submits to God) - when you submit to His Will - it isn’t about appeasing an angry master, but actualizing a Will that is characterized by his Lofty Names and Attributes - Mercy, Kindness, Love, Justice, Beauty. Many classical and medieval Islamic theologians made this connection - as it appears in the Quran “Forgive others, wouldn’t you want for Allah to forgive you” (Surah Noor), “Be just for Allah loves those who are just”. The Attributes of God fall under 3 broad categories - Those that are about His Love and Mercy, Those about His Justice, Avenging and Wrath, and Those about his Power/Might/Knowledge. And Not all attributes are equal - God emphasizes some over others. In a prophetic narration (Hadith), the Prophet told us that Allah wrote for himself “My Mercy outstrips my Anger”, So many scholars including Ibn qayyim (13th century C.E.) explained that Allah loves His Mercy more than His punishment. Allah chooses his names of Mercy to begin 113 out of 114 chapters. One of the most beautiful aspecs of Islam is the most perfect, detailed and comprehensive concept of God.

The sound creed regarding Allaah names and attributes is that we believe in all the names and attributes of Allaah that He mentioned in His Book or revealed to His messenger without comparing them to humans’ attributes, without interpreting them according to our understanding, and without denying any attribute.

Peace Milahan, Allah’s name is peace The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, peace is among the names of Allah he has placed on the earth, so spread it between yourselves. If a man greets people with peace and they answer him, he is favored a degree over them as he has reminded them. If they do not answer him, he is answered by angels who are better and purer than them.” Buraydah ibn al-Husayb reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, heard a man supplicating, saying, “O Allah, I ask you by my testimony that you are Allah, there is no God but you, the One, the Eternal Refuge, who does not give birth and was not born, and to whom no one is equal,” (112:2-4). The Prophet said, “By him in whose hand is my soul, he has asked Allah by his greatest name, for which he answers when called upon and he gives when asked.” Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, would say these words aloud in prayer, “Glory be to you, O Allah, and to you is praise. Blessed is your name, exalted is your majesty. There is no God other than you.”

About V12, and your comment 07:19. (Transl.: Yusuf Ali) And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I *had no authority over you* except to call you but *ye listened to me* : then *reproach not me* , but *reproach your own souls*. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty."

Assalamu alaikoum milahan. I know I sent this before, but we all really need to carry out these actions in order to enter jannah, inshallah. They aren't always easy, but are doable, inshallah. Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: The Angel Gabriel came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “O Muhammad, live as you wish, for you will die. Work as you wish, for you will be repaid accordingly. Love whomever you wish, for you will be separated. Know that the nobility of the believer is in prayer at night and his honor is in his independence of the people.” - Source: al-Muʻjam al-Awsaṭ 4410 Let’s delve into details of the admonition in bits: Live as you wish, for you will die: In one of the narrations, Angel Israfil appeared to the Prophet SAW and asked him to make a request from two choices. If he would like to live a flamboyant life; the like of which Dawud and Sulayman enjoyed. Or would he prefer to remain a humble slave of Allah who doesn’t know where the next bread will come from? The Prophet chose the latter and lived a simple wretched life. He would go hungry for days and sometimes tie stones around his stomach to gain stability. He understood for certain that he was going to die, so he preferred the afterlife which is everlasting than the amusement of the present world. It’s left to us to imbibe the same, for certain, we’d die someday. You have only one life and one chance, make the best of it. Work as you wish, for you will be paid accordingly: Someone asked Hassan Al Basri: “What is the secret of your religiousness?” He replied: “I understood four things: That my rizq (provision) cannot be taken by anyone, so my heart became content. That no one can do my actions (worship) for me, so I started doing them myself. That Allah is watching me, so I became ashamed to do wrong. That death is waiting for me, so I started to prepare for my meeting with Allah.” This is the reality, we all shall be brought back to life for reckoning. Every man will be paid his reward and punishment in full. So if you do evil without repentance before death, you’d taste the fruit of ‘zaqoom’. The only alternative is to do the deeds of the people of paradise while living. Thereby, through Allah’s mercy, you shall be one of the inheritors of the garden of bliss. 3. Love whomever you wish for you will be separated: The prophet SAW loved Khadijah the most amongst his wives. This was apparent as he had no other wife while she lived. He would even reminisce the good times with her long after she was gone. Afterward, he loved Aisha and her father Abubakr. Also among his beloved were his daughter Fatima and his grandsons Hassan and Hussein. This tells that the prophet was a human like you and he loved for real. He took to this admonition from Jibril and he loved them to the fullest while he lived. So if you have the chance, tell your spouse you love her; don’t make it a statement you only utter in the early days of your relationship. Fulfill your obligations to your kids. Show compassion and kindness to your parents. For indeed one day, you will be separated from your loved ones. 4. The nobility of the believer is in prayer at night: Let’s tune the clock back to the days in Madinah. When Allah’s Apostle rises in the darkness of the night, praying to his Lord. He’s weeping as he reads the verses of the Qur’an. His blessed feet have swollen from the excessive standing position. His beloved wife A’isha asked him afterward: “O Prophet of Allah, why do you undergo so much hardship despite the fact that Allah has pardoned for you your previous and future sins?” He responded: “Should I not prove myself to be a thankful servant?”. This is how the believer is expected to live his life. Spend some time sleeping at night and a later part invoking Allah, thanking Him for His blessings and seeking forgiveness. You’d always find tranquility in rising to pray at night. 5. The honor of the believer is in his independence of people: True independence is in not wanting what’s in the hands of people. A person who begs of people is often not well respected. Being independent of people doesn't mean living in isolation or not asking for a helping hand when needed. It is having bashfulness and respect for one’s self. Also, not subjecting yourself to the vulnerability of the human tongue. This was further buttressed in another narration by Allah’s Messenger thus: Sahl bin Sad As-Sai’di (radi Allahu anhu) reported: “A man came to the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, guide me to such an action which if I do Allah will love me and the people will also love me.’ He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, ‘Have no desire for this world, Allah will love you; and have no desire for what people possess, people will love you.’” [Ibn Majah] When you were talking about relying on people as allies;here seedna jabriel is saying the same thing. Don't rely on others, be independent. Subhan Allah. Btw,I k ow that you've realized that Allah swt is speaking to us, too. One can definitely feeling when one reads the Quran. Allah set would love to see everyone in heaven, inshallah, we'll a be in "firdaus il alaa." The best part of heaven, under Allah swt's throne.

Hola Mila, you do not need to shower just Ablution Even if you are menstruating , Religion is easy, not hard. Ali said: He, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not withhold it from reading the Qur’an anything but janaabah(Sex). So he went to his need(toilet), then he came back reading the Qur’an, and a man said to him: O Commander of the Faithful, do you read the Qur’an and you did not ablution?
