The simple fact is that Quran is in Arabic because Mohammad was an Arab and people around him were Arabs; even Quran says that. the other fact is that Quran is in no way simple and requires many interpretations.

Quran itself says that “we have sent this Quran in Arabic so you understand. Everyone knows that translation of any language will not be like original language. Non Arab people still have difficulty in understanding the message. Only native speakers can get the nuisance of messages. Again the Quran is open to interpretation and one cannot truly trust the interpreters. Learned people still arrugue about the meaning so what can you expect we our mere mortals. By the way I am in way want to disrespect Islam or the Quran. I’m just simply asking the question that occurs to me.

Sister, if you believe Islam, I suggest you to accept it officially. Since Adam, God sent many prophets including Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohamed with same religion but different versions. To worship One God (No Trinity) and to compete doing good deeds. When Torah was corrupted, God sent Jesus with Gospel. When original Gospel in Aramaic was lost, God sent Mohamed with Quran. Quran = updated lost original Gospel + Torah + New Divine Information. May God guide you to His amazing way of life, Islam.

I really liked your explanation. People's query about the God's revelation in arabic language is very queer as God's previous revelation in different languages to different communities are endorsed by Quran itself and history witnessed it. When the last revelation came in arabic language from Arab but for whole mankind on earth was mocked and used as weapon against muslims. Though the very earliest Greek philosophy was circulated in the world where transportation and communication was much more weaker than this the time of prophet Muhammad saw. But truth wins and whole world came under the influence of God's revelation and Muhammad saw made it possible. It's only an argument devoid of intellect. One more thing regarding arabic language is that H.R Gibbs, historian says that the arabic language can't be translated into any language due to its vast richness. The experience of this language was felt even by great philosophers and linguistic experts.

27:76 says that the it explains to the Children of Israel about what they dispute. Did the children of Israel know Arabic? Or does Arabic have another meaning according to the Quran? 6:155-157 highlights how the people complained of not being aware of the previous scriptures, the ones given to the children of Israel. If the israelites could understand the Quran in 27:76, why couldn’t the audience being addressed in 6:156-157 understand the Hebrew scripture?

Surah 14:4 says we never sent a messenger but speaking the Language of their people, well 1400 years later Most Muslims Don’t even Speak Arabic and rely heavily on Translations And Tafsirs for those Translations. English is the most spoken Language in the World and growing , so an All Knowing God should have sent a Messenger who speaks English. Instead he reveals his final message in a language that less than 10% of Muslims actually speak. Arabic is not even top 3 of Languages spoken in the world. Theres a reason why the English Translations don’t flow as well, its because it wasn’t supposed to be Translated and Most Translations are Horrible. Its like reading a whole different verse. Ill stick to the Bible, it’s Beautiful in every language.

@@fizzycrush4021 No my confused friend, Most of The Gospels were originally written in Greek, hence the name ‘Injil’ which is a Greek Synonym of ‘Gospel’. Both mean ‘Good News’ but only in Greek. the word found in the Quran is ‘Injil’ which is a Greek Word, proving that the Quran is not even a fully Arabic Text.

We can both Agree that the name Muhammad means ‘Worthy of Praise’ in Arabic but not in English. So Just because the Quran uses the Word ‘Injil’ doesn’t make it an Arabic Word. Historically the Gospels were written in Greek, which makes perfect sense since the name is ‘Injil’. It is only the Muslims that believe Jesus had a book called Gospels while he was on earth. The rest of us People with common sense know that the Gospel is not a Book given to Jesus but it is Books about him. Not From Him. This is a very big difference in what we believe. The Gospel writers Spoke Greek Hence the Name ‘Injil’. The Quran took the name from the Christians and turned it into an Arabic Word but the Funny thing is the Word Only Means ‘Good News’ in Greek. It means Nothing in Arabic lol Thats what happens when you plagiarize and then you are asked to explain it. Look up the difference between Translation and Transliteration and you’ll understand why ‘Injil’ is in your Quran.

Could it be that the Quranic language being the language of the desert and used by a back-water society could maintain its purity much longer. Languages which are used in the crossroads of civilization are more susceptible to creeping or sudden changes. At the theological level Arabic is more amenable to analysis because it is considered the simplest among the developed languages. In analysing the Quran based on numerical word counts it is superior to e.g. English with its many prepositions and definitives,etc. The analysis of the Quran based on the number 19 would be impossible in English. The intergrity of the Quran has been ensured by Muhammad himself when he determined the sequeces and placement of verses in the Quran which has led to readers to some confusion. Using the number 19 when applied to analysing the Quran as arranged by Muhammad proves the authenticity and integrity of the Book

To the knowledge of you all, Allah seems to speak in the obscure Arabic dialect of Quraish in the Quran with some passages colliding with modern sensibilities. That is why Muslim apologists often pretend that the passage of the Quran has a different meaning in its original language which is Arabic even though its alternative meaning has been avoided by earlier Arab-Muslim scholars for fourteen centuries.
